The songstress - who has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide - and her new hubby Souleye are expecting their first child together.

The 36-year-old Ottawa native recently admitted that she wasn't expecting to be expecting. The doctor said it "looked like" she was pregnant. "And I said, 'There's still a chance that I'm not, though, yes?'" she says. "And he said, 'About as likely as my getting a sex change.' And I said, 'So, when are you getting your sex change?'"

The group was all smiles as they paraded around the resort together.

The You Oughta Know singer recently admitted didn't know that she was pregnant until her doctor said she was: “I actually thought I wasn’t,” she admitted on Wednesday’s episode of Chelsea Lately. “I had just sort of said in passing [to my doctor] that I was a little late … And he said, 'Let's take a quick look.”

Though surprised, the 36-year-old star was “very happy” to hear the news!

Alanis and Souleye, who began dating in October 2009, were married on May 22, 2010.

"I actually thought I wasn't," the Canadian songstress, 36, told Chelsea Handler Wednesday on E!'s Chelsea Lately. "I had just sort of said in passing [to my doctor] that I was a little late … And he said, 'Let's take a quick look.'"

The doctor said it "looked like" she was pregnant. "And I said, 'There's still a chance that I'm not, though, yes?'" she says. "And he said, 'About as likely as my getting a sex change.' And I said, 'So, when are you getting your sex change?'"

Joking aside, Morissette said she was "very happy" to get the unexpected news.

Morissette wed Souleye, 30, (real name: Mario Treadway) in a small ceremony at their Los Angeles home in May. The singer recalled meeting him for the first time at a meditation ceremony at her house.

"He walked in, and I thought, 'Wow, he's incredibly sexy,' " she said. "But I had no idea what was to become of our little connection."

The You Oughta Know singer, 36, announced the happy news in Us' "25 Things You Don't Know About Me" section. Morissette lists "I am pregnant!" as No. 25.

Morissette recently wed rapper Souleye, 30 (born to the name Mario Treadway), on May 22 of this year at their Los Angeles home.

Lindsay Lohan was axed from a movie because she’s not “bankable” — this according a source connected with the production of the flick.

Lindsay was slated to star in “The Other Side,” a movie about a grad student working on a deserted island.

David Michaels, the writer/director, told TMZ, “Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we’ll soon be announcing a replacement.”

But sources connected with the film say that the people financing the film were skittish about relying on Lindsay.

The movie also stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette.

And there’s this twist … at one point Brittany Murphy was attached to the movie.

FYI, the picture above is of Lindsay stumbling out of Trousdale Friday night, wasted and disoriented…right after attacking Samantha Ronson with a glass.

Eyewitnesses say that Ronson was sitting at a table when Lindsay stormed up “like a bat out of hell” and reportedly tossed a drink Sam’s way.

“Everyone was shocked,” says a source. “The night was going fine, and all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, Lindsay walked up and caused a huge scene.”

Kelly Clarkson kicked off her All I Ever Wanted tour at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Friday in Uncasville, Conn. and mesmerized the audience by serving them a double treat. The American Idol sweetheart covered two great songs together — Alanis Morissette’s That I Would Be Good and Kings of Leon’s Use Somebody. All I can say at this moment is, Kelly is amazing!
