Andrea Roth Welcomes Baby Girl Ava Reese!

Actress Andrea Roth and fiancé Todd Biermann have welcomed a baby girl!

The Rescue Me star gave birth to daughter Ava Reese on March 29 at 9:40am at Pennsylvania Hospital with the assistance of midwives and a doula. The little bundle weighed in at 6lbs, 14oz, and measured 20 ½ inches in length.

“Andrea has never been happier,” her rep tells PEOPLE.

The 42-year-old actress recently opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about waiting until her 40s to have her first child:

I waited until now to get pregnant because I just hadn't met the right man. I always knew I wanted to have children, but you have to have the right relationship. Luckily I found that with Todd. Because of my age, we decided to have a child before getting married. That was our priority.

Andrea Roth: “Be A Hero For Kids With Cancer!”

Mom-to-be, Andrea Roth, recently opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about entering motherhood in her 40s and how she's been preparing for the baby. The Rescue Me star - who is expecting her baby girl within days - is now talking about a charity close to her heart: St. Baldrick's Foundation.

CBS: Your fiancé, producer Todd Biermann, first introduced you to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. What has drawn the two of you to this foundation?

AR: "I was lucky to have learned of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation through my fiancé Todd Biermann, who had been involved for a few years as a shavee. I was moved by his passion for the Foundation and the commitment that the shavees, supporters and volunteers had. The head-shaving event we attended was a warm and fun time where adults and children, including children who have undergone treatment, mingled together and watched as many shaved their heads in solidarity with children with cancer- all the while raising money for cancer research.

The mom-to-be opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about entering motherhood in her 40s, how she's been preparing for the baby and her humble beginnings in Canada - where, yes, you can find dill pickle chips and the best chocolate bars ever!

CBS: You and your fiancé, producer Todd Biermann, are expecting your first child in mid-April. How has the pregnancy been? How are you feeling?

AR: "My pregnancy has been great so far. Todd and I went on a babymoon to Palm
Island Resort in the Grenadines and it was one of the highlights of our pregnancy. It was so beautiful and relaxing there."

Rescue Me’s Andrea Roth Expecting First Child

After five months spent attempting to start a family, Rescue Me star Andrea Roth and her fiancé, producer Todd Biermann, are expecting their first child, TV Guide reports.

Due in mid-April, Andrea says that despite a pregnancy bout with swine flu, everything since has been smooth sailing.

According to the 42-year-old Ontario, Canada native, her announcement received a warm welcome by all on the set of her show, including executive producer Peter Tolan. "He was, and is, nothing but incredibly happy and really, really accommodating for me," Roth says.

Roth admits she doesn't know if her character will be written off the show - which is in production until May – and she's not taking any chances. "I might have to say, 'Sorry, but my doctor says I'm not supposed to get into any cars ... planes ... or be near any knives ...' "

Congratulations to the Roth-Biermann family!
