Brittany Murphy’s Mom Slept With Simon Monjack?

The creepiest part of this story is that the relationship between Simon Monjack and Sharon Murphy apparently wasn’t sexual. It would have been much more normal if it was. The information originally was leaked in the Coroner’s report, which was much weirder than normal.

According to the final report an investigator walked through Simon’s bedroom with a woman who identified one side of Simon’s bed as “her side of the bed.” The woman’s name was withheld from the report, but law enforcement sources have identified her as Brittany Murphy’s mom Sharon. (“EW.” would be the correct response here.)

In a statement, Sharon says, “I am very disturbed that the L.A. Coroners [sic] office continues to release things to the media that are misleading.”

She continues, “The TMZ story with it’s [sic] salacious headline suggesting that my prescious [sic] son-in-law Simon and I slept in bed together, infering [sic] sexual contact is journalism at its lowest.” Sharon also denies there were medications in the house prescribed to a “Sharon Monjack,” as the Coroner’s report states.

The Coroner’s report did not suggest sexual contact between Sharon and Simon, but in all honesty, nothing could make this situation more gross, morbid, or awkward.

Brittany Murphy & Simon Monjack Killed by Mold?

So we kind of feel like douchebags for saying that Brittany Murphy was just an anorexic cow that ODed on some prescription meds. The investigation into Brittany Murphy and Simon Monjack’s deaths is now being handled by the Department of Public Health… and it’s all because of mold found in their home. Ergo, they might have been killed by some nasty mold spores.

Law enforcement sources report that the issue of mold in the house came up early during the investigation into Brittany’s death, but it was deemed “not to be a contributing factor.” But when Simon passed away a few months later, the issue came up again. The reason this time for the delay was that Brittany’s mom, Sharon, wouldn’t let the L.A. County Coroner’s Office in to investigate the mold. Now, Sharon has agreed to let Public Health investigators into the home.

Mold could be relevant to Simon and Brittany’s respiratory health. Pneumonia was a cause of death for both of them and hey – Big, Bad Mold is a common cause of moldy pneumonia.

Simon Monjack had two secret children

Obit Brittany Murphy

Simon Monjack’s death just got a little more mysterious. A laptop computer has unearthed a secret he carried to his death — he had two children from previous relationships.

The 39-year-old’s secret brood was discovered after Monjack’s family went through his computer.

Monjack’s mother, brother and therapist took the screenwriter’s laptop after staying with Murphy’s mom at his house last week, according to TMZ.

They found emails from two women asking Monjack for child support.

According to, the screenwriter had a daughter by one woman and a son by another.

Also in the computer … wire transfers of large amounts of money — as much as $48,000 in a single transfer.  Simon was sending the money to lawyers, as well as someone in Europe for some sort of settlement.

Murphy reportedly filed a theft report with police after discovering her son-in-law’s property had gone AWOL.

Meanwhile, Monjack’s family has passed the computer on to investigators, who are now reviewing its contents.

Monjack was found dead in the same Los Angeles home where his wife, actress Brittany Murphy, had died. He appeared to have passed away from a heart attack after delaying surgery to repair a heart condition.

Coroner’s officials won’t be releasing Monjack’s official cause of death for weeks pending toxicology reports.

Murphy died on December 20 at the age of 32 from pneumonia complicated by iron deficiency, anemia and drug intoxication.

Upon his wishes, Monjack was laid to rest next to his wife at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.

Simon Monjack laid to rest next to Brittany

Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy have finally been reunited. Simon - who died suddenly last Sunday - was laid to rest next to his late wife Brittany at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in a private ceremony yesterday. I know it’s a bit too late, but maybe now the world will believe Simon’s words that he truly loved his wife.

According to Contactmusic,

The British screenwriter - who passed away suddenly last Sunday (23.05.10) - was buried following an emotional orthodox Jewish service at the Chapel of the Hills in Sunland. His remains were then committed to the ground at Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn Memorial Park just five months after his late actress spouse. Family spokesman Roger Neal said: “It was Simon’s wish to be laid to rest next to her.”

Simon Monjack delayed having heart surgery after Brittany Murphy’s death

Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack is believed to have delayed heart surgery as he was still grieving for her.

Simon Monjack, who died on Sunday just five months after Brittany Murphy, is thought to have put off having a heart bypass until after a planned charity event in September for the foundation he set up in her name.

His publicist Roger Neal said: “I can tell you he was excited about what the future held in terms of the legacy of Brittany Murphy. He looked fine to me.

“As far as we know he passed away of natural causes. He did have a heart condition and he was due for bypass heart surgery.”

The scriptwriter was found unconscious at the home he shared with the late Clueless actress by her mother Sharon Murphy, who tragically also discovered Brittany’s body in the shower of the home.

She is said to be “devastated” at the loss of her son-in-law.

Mr Neal said: “It is a very sad day for Ms. Murphy. She’s devastated. She’s a very strong woman. I don’t know how you handle something like that. She is resting. Sharon loved Simon as a son. They were a very close family.”

Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter has previously revealed prescription drugs were found near Monjack’s body, although he has refused to give any further details.

The official cause of Monjack’s death is still to be determined. An autopsy and toxicology testing should take place in the next few days.

Simon Monjack found dead!

Simon Monjack, husband of late actress Brittany Murphy, was found dead Sunday night in his Hollywood Hills home. The British screenwriter was found by his mother-in-law, Sharon, in the master bedroom in unresponsive state. The shocking news comes just five months after his wife Brittany Murphy was found dead in a bathroom in the same house.

According to People,

Monjack, 40, was pronounced dead after the Los Angeles Fire Department was called to the residence for a medical emergency, say authorities. Police spokesman Sgt. Louie Lozano said the preliminary cause of death was natural causes, but investigators remained at the scene. Law enforcement sources told the Hollywood Reporter that Brittany’s mother, Sharon, discovered Monjack around 9:30, unresponsive, and called 911.

Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack found dead

The British husband of tragic actress Brittany Murphy has died at the Hollywood Hills home the couple once shared.

Despite attempts to resuscitate him by the emergency services, screenwriter Simon Monjack, 39, was pronounced dead last night.

It comes just five months after Clueless star Brittany, 32, died in his arms after collapsing in the shower.

Monjack’s death is being investigated by the Los Angeles police department, but they say the signs suggest it was natural causes.

Sergeant Louie Lozano told the LA Times police responded to a 911 call from the home on Sunday evening seeking ‘unspecified medical aid.’

Monjack was known to have previously suffered a heart attack.

He had also been widely reported to have large debts, although he claimed these had been resolved.

Brittany died at their home of cardiac arrest on December 20, as her mother, who lived with the couple, phoned for help.

Monjack later recalled how he tried to administer CPR in vain, then kissed his wife goodbye after she passed away.

A large amount of prescription drugs were found in the home, although Monjack claimed many of these were simply out of date medications.

After Brittany’s death Monjack caused controversy when he tried to persuade investigators not to have a post-mortem carried out on her body.

He said he couldn’t bear the idea of having his wife’s body cut open, and  called the coroner relentlessly – but to no avail.

His actions led to widespread internet rumours he was involved in her death, which he angrily denied.

In February an inquest found Brittany died from pneumonia complicated by an iron deficiency, anaemia and multiple drug intoxication.

Coroners officials said she had gone into sudden cardiac arrest because of drug intake.

Her death was classified as an accident.

Lindsay Lohan dumped from new movie

Lindsay Lohan was axed from a movie because she’s not “bankable” — this according a source connected with the production of the flick.

Lindsay was slated to star in “The Other Side,” a movie about a grad student working on a deserted island.

David Michaels, the writer/director, told TMZ, “Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we’ll soon be announcing a replacement.”

But sources connected with the film say that the people financing the film were skittish about relying on Lindsay.

The movie also stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette.

And there’s this twist … at one point Brittany Murphy was attached to the movie.

FYI, the picture above is of Lindsay stumbling out of Trousdale Friday night, wasted and disoriented…right after attacking Samantha Ronson with a glass.

Eyewitnesses say that Ronson was sitting at a table when Lindsay stormed up “like a bat out of hell” and reportedly tossed a drink Sam’s way.

“Everyone was shocked,” says a source. “The night was going fine, and all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, Lindsay walked up and caused a huge scene.”

The Oscars Left Someone Out

Every year at the Oscars, there is a heartwarming montage of celebrities that have died in the past year. It makes thousands of fans tear up and remember better times – that is, if you’re some kind of emo pussy. For about 5 years or so, this montage was filled with older actors that most people were too young to remember. Then all of the sudden, the shit hit the fan and cool celebrities were dying left and right. John Ritter, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett… wait – who was that last one?

Oh right… one of the most beautiful and famous actresses died after her battle with cancer last year. And oopsie, she was completely forgotten in the tribute video. It’s understandable that some celebrities won’t make the cut – but there is no excuse for leaving her out. Sure, the king of pop died so everyone has their panties in a twist over that, but it’s unfair to leave out a huge star like Farrah.

Hey Academy, you kind of dropped the ball.

Simon Monjack is Returning $800 He Raised

In an attempt to do something good in Brittany Murphy’s memory, Simon Monjack kind of screwed up. And by screwed up we mean he took $800 from well-meaning people in a less than legit way. According to TMZ:

According to Monjack, the foundation only collected roughly $800 via Pay Pal before [TMZ] informed him that the foundation wasn’t set up properly and wasn’t recognized by the government as an official charity.

Monjack claims he plans to get the foundation up and running again in the near future — and this time, he claims he’s taking “the proper steps” to ensure that everything will be legit.

So it appears that Monjack threw up a site in 15 minutes and put a PayPal link that said something like “DOESN’T IT SUCK BRITTANY DIED?” Seeing that he only raised $800 he must not have been doing it right.

It’s still unclear what the Brittany Murphy Foundation is for. Are they trying to teach young teens how to be anorexic celebrities who make bad marriage choices and OD on Vicodin on account of their sad, abandoned crotches?

Brittany Murphy Took 109 Vicodin in 11 days?

Just a theory, but an average of 9 Vicodin pills per day may be above the recommended dosage. Where is Dr. House for a consult when he’s needed?

Brittany Murphy obtained a script for Vicodin 11 days before her death from an unidentified physician (most likely named Dr. Quack-Screw-You-Over).  After she passed away, it was discovered that 109 pills of the 120 pills were gone and only 11 remained in the bottle. Unless she was feeding her dog Vicodin like a kid feeds theirs broccoli, we can safely assume that those 109 pills went down her gullet and assisted in the whole “dying” thing.

TMZ reported that the  LA coroner’s office can’t locate the quack doctor who issued the prescription. No surprise there – not like the doctor would strap a “I killed Brittany with prescribed narcotics!” sign to his back and parade around LA. But then again, the authorities should pay more attention to the crazies with sandwich boards.

Simon Monjack forced to return donations made to Brittany Murphy’s “Foundation”

Over the weekend, TMZ broke the story that the Brittany Murphy foundation — run by Simon Monjack and mother, Sharon Murphy — hadn’t filed the necessary documents to qualify as a charity or nonprofit group despite taking various donations in Murphy’s memory. As soon as the site called the foundation for comment, the website immediately shut down.

But late Sunday the website resurfaced with a message that it would return all the donations until they had their non-profit status approved “before proceeding to insure that we can truly honor Brittany’s charitable desires.”

The website is no longer taking donations and now holds itself out as a private foundation which awaits 501(c)3 non-profit status.

We’re going to go ahead and guess that since the charity scam didn’t pan out and since nobody wants to buy pictures of him crying crocodile tears on his mother-in-law’s shoulder (he reportedly asked for $40,000 for one set), Simon Monjack is at the moment on the phone with a Korean manufacturer frantically begging him to speed up production of the Brittany Murphy angel figurines he’s going to be selling. Because lamb chops do cost a pretty penny.

Brittany Murphy’s death preventable if taken to hospital for pneumonia

Sources involved in Brittany Murphy’s autopsy told TMZ yesterday, her death was “preventable.”

Sources say the primary causes of Murphy’s death were pneumonia and severe anemia. L.A. County Coroner officials believe Brittany’s condition was “treatable” but no one took her to the hospital in time.

As for the multiple drugs found in her system, TMZ was told they were both prescription, including medicine for cramps, and over-the-counter medications, including cough syrup. Our sources say the drugs “pushed her over the line” but the underlying problems were the pneumonia and anemia.

In other words, Brittany was really sick, didn’t get treatment and by self-medicating it pushed her over the line.

Meanwhile, the L.A. County Coroner’s Office is not satisfied that the toxicology report by itself will tell the whole story in the death of Brittany Murphy, so on Wednesday, Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter paid a visit to Brittany’s husband, Simon Monjack, and her mother, Sharon Murphy, and asked a bunch of questions.

According to TMZ’s sources, a man who worked at Brittany Murphy’s house has told the Coroner’s Office that someone would deliver a sealed, manila envelope to the house every Friday filled with prescription medications in bottles. The name on the envelope — “Lola.”

Sources say the ex-employee told the Coroner drugs were also mailed from Los Angeles to Louisiana — where Brittany was shooting a movie and Simon was tagging along — in the months before she died.

According to TMZ, the pathologist in the Coroner’s Office who is working on the case had a variety of questions for Simon and Sharon. Among the questions — Why was there no record of Brittany seeing a doctor in the months before her death, especially because she had several medical conditions and was experiencing severe abdominal pains days before her death?

We’re told Winter met with Sharon and Simon together and they were cooperative.

Simon Monjack trying to cash in on Brittany Murphy’s death

A broke Simon Monjack is trying to profit by his wife’s death by charging a minimum $1000 to attend a memorial/charity event for her. Note to prospective donors:make sure you get a signed guarantee for your donations or at the very least a recorded statement by Simon that all your money will be returned in case things go wrong…and by that we mean the coroner finds his fingerprints on one of her heart valves or a pharmacy label with his name on it in her small intestine…

Via US Magazine:

On Thursday, Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack is hosting a launch party to celebrate the Brittany Murphy Foundation, which is dedicated to arts education for children. (Monjack claims he started the foundation with $1 million of his own money.)
A source tells he is suggesting dollar amounts of $1,000 per individual and $10,000 from corporations to attend the event, which takes place at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.
Says a source, “Everyone thinks it’s very tacky that he is making it so much about money.”

Brittany Murphy’s husband to sue Warner Brothers for wife’s death

Actress Brittany Murphy (L) and husband writer Simon Monjack attend MOTO 9, Motorola's 9th Anniversary party held at The Lot on November 8, 2007 in West Hollywood, California.

Simon Monjack, the husband of the late Brittany Murphy is lashing out at Hollywood, in particular Warner Brothers, claiming the top studio “killed her”.

Monjack is so certain in his claim that in an interview with The Daily Beast he said he is actually planning on filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Warner Brothers, within the next few days. Monjack says they caused Murphy, who died last December, to have a heart attack from stress after they canceled a contract with the 32-year-old actress, just two weeks before she died.

Murphy was set to have begun production on the sequel to the animated hit movie Happy Feet, but when she was fired, Monjack says, “She was devastated”.

Just one month before being fired by Warner Brothers Murphy had been let go from another major movie, The Caller, which had been filming in Puerto Rico. Rumors swirled that it was because Monjack, who was in charge of Brittany’s hair and make-up, had been so difficult on the set, sometimes showing up drunk, that execs had no choice but to let Murphy go, something that Monjack adamantly denies.

“Every story needs a villain, and everyone has decided it is me,” Monjack says. “The reports about the Puerto Rican set are fantasy. I was never, ever drunk there. What I did do was demand they follow union rules and after she had worked 12 hour days, six days a week, that she get the breaks she was entitled to. I was “difficult’ because I was the enforcer to protect Brittany. She was far too nice to stand up to directors and producers who wanted her to work to exhaustion.”

Monjack also bristles at the stories that he was a gold digger and that he lived off of Brittany. “When Brittany died she had 60 pieces of unworn Louis Vuitton,” he claims. “The dog had Louis Vuitton. This was all me. We kept our money separate. When I took Brittany out shopping, I paid for everything.”

Another thing Monjack is adamant about is that drugs did not cause the premature death of his beautiful wife. Saying, “In all the time I’ve known her, she has never, and I repeat NEVER, done drugs.

“Not a line of cocaine, not a hit from a joint, nothing. She was anti-drugs. There are no drugs involved.

Following Murphy’s death Los Angeles investigators took a number of prescription drugs from Monjack’s house, “But they were almost all mine. Brittany took only Klonepam,” he says, an anti-anxiety medication prescribed to control the seizures she occasionally had. And Sarafem, a drug approved for mood swings during a woman’s menstrual cycle.

“The drug rumors made her lose roles, I’m sure,” says Monjack. And he says the rumors were difficult for her to deal with, depressing her and making her fret that she might not find a comeback vehicle. “All she wanted to do was to make movies. She was waiting for the role that would revive her career, waiting for the call from Penny Marshall or Gary Fleder, people she had worked with before, that they might remember how talented an actress she was and call with a new magical role.”

But that call never came, and sadly, Monjack says, “There’s always some new girl getting off a bus. In Hollywood, girls like Brittany are disposable.”

The official cause of Brittany’s death has yet to be announced, the coroner is awaiting results from toxicological and neurological tests before making his official ruling.

Brittany Murphy’s husband:Hollywood killed her (with video)

brittany murphy 2 211209

The husband of actress Brittany Murphy appeared on the Today Show yesterday and blamed Hollywood for her death, saying film executives “have blood on their hands”.

Simon Monjack said Brittany was devastated days before she died after an offer to be the voice of Gloria in Happy Feet 2 was withdrawn. The 32-year-old actress was Gloria in the original penguin film. But British screenwriter Simon, 39, said she was dropped from the sequel over false rumours she had been fired from another movie.

He added: “Hollywood broke her heart. “Hollywood is a village and once you upset the villagers, they talk and they gossip and they rumour. They have blood on their hands, and I hope they wash them with very hot water because of the way they treated Brittany Murphy while she was alive.”

Simon denied she had an eating disorder or drug problems.

Redbox pulls grisly Brittany Murphy movie image

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Three days after Brittany Murphy passed out in her bathroom and later died, DVD rental chain Redbox said on Wednesday it was pulling a poster depicting the actress posing lifeless in a bathtub.

The poster promoted the direct-to-video horror film “Deadline,” which Coinstar Inc-owned Redbox began carrying in its kiosks nationwide on December 1.

The company said it started removing the artwork following the death of the 32-year-old actress on Sunday, and planned to complete the job by January 1.

“To my knowledge, it was art that we had scheduled at all of our locations,” said Laura Dihel, a spokeswoman for Redbox.

Murphy, better known for roles in such films as “Clueless” and “8 Mile,” suffered cardiac arrest in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home, and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. An autopsy has been conducted, but the cause of death has been deferred pending toxicology and other reports.

She starred in “Deadline” as a screenwriter in a haunted house who uncovers a grim secret. Thora Birch co-starred in the First Look Studios release from writer/director Sean McConville.

10 prescription drugs found in Brittany Murphy’s bedroom

THE astonishing array of “strong” prescription drugs found in Brittany Murphy’s bedroom was revealed today as her husband faced questions over her death.

An officer from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s department investigating the 32-year-old star’s death found the medication on her bedside table.

The drugs were made out to Murphy with other bottles, some empty, also made out to her mother Sharon Murphy, husband Simon Monjack and some unidentified individuals.

According to the investigator’s notes, the medications included: Topamax (anti-seizure medication also to prevent migraines), Methylprednisolone (anti-inflammatory), Fluoxetine (depression), Klonopin (anxiety), Carbamazepine (treats diabetic symptoms and is also a bipolar medication), Ativan (anxiety), Vicoprofen (pain reliever), Propranolol (hypertension, used to prevent heart attacks), Biaxin (antibiotic), Hydrocodone (pain) and various vitamins.

The actress “had been complaining of shortness of breath and severe abdominal pain” for 7 to 10 days prior to her death.

According to the notes, Murphy went into the bathroom at around 7:30am on Sunday and shut the door.

Thirty minutes later Murphy’s mother Sharon went to check on her daughter, opened the bathroom door and “discovered the decedent lying on the floor unresponsive”.

According to the notes, Sharon yelled for help. Murphy’s husband, who was in bed, heard the screams and ran to the bathroom.

Sharon called 911 and Monjack “attempted to revive the decedent by placing her in the shower and running the water”.

The notes continue: “The decedent remained unresponsive and purged her stomach contents prior to the arrival of the paramedics.”

When the paramedics arrived, Murphy was “without signs of life”.

It is expected Monjack will be questioned over his wife’s death. He is one of several people who will be interviewed by the authorities about Murphy’s final hours.

Monjack told the investigator during the 7 to 10 days prior to her death, Miss Murphy complained of shortness of breath and severe abdominal pains but he was not overly alarmed because “she often suffered from severe menstrual pains”.Yesterday LA chief coroner Ed Winter, who investigated Michael Jackson’s death, insisted that Murphy’s death was not caused by drugs as her autopsy was concluded.

But the results of the test were deferred pending toxicology and neurological results, which could take up to six weeks.

One report claimed Murphy was struggling to kick her addiction, which started after she underwent a series of plastic surgery operations.

A friend of Murphy  -  best known for her roles in 8 Mile with rapper Eminem and Girl, Interrupted -  said last night: “Brittany has been living life on the edge. She definitely had a drug problem and we have all begged her to get help.

“A lot of Brittany’s problems were due to poor self image. She wore extraordinary amounts of make-up, tons of fake eyelashes, got her teeth capped, dyed her hair blonde, lost weight – she wanted to be a beauty.”

Actress Kathy Najimy, who worked with her on the cartoon series King Of The Hill, paid tribute to her co-star yesterday as “the sweetest, most talented angel” but added “she got hooked up with wrong people”.

She was reportedly fired from the thriller The Caller, which she had been shooting in Puerto Rico until late last month, and was also recently replaced on Disney’s animated Tinkerbell film.

Friends feared Brittany Murphy was hooked on Vicodin

Brittany Murphy was unusually thin looking and reportedly unsteady on her feet at one of her last public appearances and friends reportedly feared for her health because they thought the 32-year-old star was abusing prescription drugs.

While illness could have played a role, reports out of the UK, quoting sources, says that friends were concerned about Murphy’s use of Vicodin, a powerful painkiller.

The same drug was among the cocktail of prescriptions that Michael Jackson was taking when he died of cardiac arrest in June. The official cause of death was acute propofol intoxication.

Murphy reportedly became hooked on painkillers after a series of plastic surgery operations, according to UK tabloid The Sun.

She was reported to have been “unsteady on her feet” at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie “Across The Hall,” which opened about three weeks ago.

The actress may have been under stress lately because she was allegedly fired from a new film “The Caller” because of “difficult behavior.” Her agent, however, said she quit due to “creative differences”.

Murphy shocked Hollywood a few years ago when she lost a lot of weight, sparking rumors of an eating disorder. But she strenuously denied being anorexic or abusing drugs.

“No, just for the record I have never tried it [cocaine or any other illegal drug] in my entire life,” Murphy tol reporters in 2005. “I’ve never even seen it, and I don’t leave the house too much except to go to work.”

“I am way too high-strung to do drugs. I can’t even take a Sudafed. Can you imagine? My God. I think my heart would explode,” she added, almost presaging her death.

But one friend countered: “We have been very worried something like this was about to happen. Brittany has been living life on the edge. She definitely had a drug problem and we have all begged her to seek help. Sadly our words fell on deaf ears.”

Brittany Murphy had flu-like symptoms;investigation to focus on “overdose scenarios”

A senior LAPD source said yesterday the investigation into Brittany Murphy’s death will focus on “overdose scenarios”.

Brittany, who had Type 2 diabetes and a thyroid condition, had been unwell for several days before her death.

She was said to have been taking prescription drugs for “flu-like” symptoms.

Capt. John Kades told the Daily News that the prescription drugs recovered from Murphy’s home were all written to her.

“We didn’t find any illegal drugs,” he said. “All the medications were collected and booked here as evidence.”

Brittany Murphy’s husband does not want autopsy to be performed

Brittany Murphy cracks a smile and kisses her husband at the air

Brittany Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, told the hospital staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center that he did not want an autopsy to be done on his wife. This has caused the public to wonder why. The first conclusion people make is that it could be because of drugs. The police have already stated that they do not suspect any foul play. Still, the usual gut reaction to someone not wanting an autopsy done is “Do they have something to hide?”

There could be a reasonable explanation as to why Simon Monjack prefers to not have an autopsy done on his deceased wife. Simon Monjack is Jewish and many Jews forbid autopsy examinations to be done to the body.

However, according to TMZ, a large quantity of prescription drugs were found in the house, which of course muddies the waters:

“Sources say various prescriptions were found in the home — written for Brittany Murphy, husband Simon Monjack, and Brittany’s mom. One source says, “There were a lot … a lot of prescriptions in the house.”
Law enforcement sources tell us Murphy collapsed in the bathroom and somehow ended up in the shower … there was, we’re told, a significant amount of vomit in the immediate area.
We’re also told authorities did not find illegal drugs in the house, but Murphy was definitely taking various prescription meds.”

Britanny Murphy Dead At 32

Terribly sad news to report. Brittany Murphy, 32, died Sunday morning (December 20) after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, TMZ reports.

A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM in Los Angeles and Brittany was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Spokeswoman Sally Stewart for Cedars-Sinai said Murphy died at 10:04 A.M.

Earlier this year, Brittany told OK! that she planned to have children "hopefully soon" with her "soulmate," screenwriter husband Simon Monjack.

I hope to have a few," Brittany said in April. "I’ve always loved kids and babies and always wanted to be a mom."

Murphy starred in Clueless, Sin City and 8 Mile. In 2006, she released the dance club hit, Faster Kill Pussycat.

Our deepest condolences go out to the Murphy-Monjack family.

Actress Brittany Murphy died at age, 32, after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, according to multiple media reports.

Fire Department spokesman Devon Gale says an emergency call was made at 8 a.m. Sunday from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to British screenwriter Simon Monjack, who is married to Murphy.

Gale told the Associated Press one person was transported to a hospital.

Most appaling PDA of the day;Brittany Murphy kissing that;and by that we mean the con artist who plays her husband

Here’s Brittany Murphy and her husband British screenwriter Simon Monjack giving travellers bad gas at LAX on Tuesday as they try to smother an innocent poodle by sandwiching it against Simon’s hairy man boobs. This gag reflex-producing PDA came complete with Simon’s hairy ass crack…because what good is it to gag if you can’t expel everything on shiny airport tiles?

Seriously? What is wrong with Brittany Murphy that she was compelled to elope with a gorilla and give him an American Visa (he was almost deported in 2007 due to an expired visa – their wedding followed suit a month later)? Hey, we can say “Cheerio there, chap” pretty convincingly if this is what’s getting her panties wet…and our plumber’s ass crack is seriously sexy…especially with that bushy trail mix running down from our neck…
