Celine Dion shows off her legs in Jamaica

I have never understood the hate Celine Dion gets. I probably never will. The woman is so phenomenally talented it’s a little ridiculous. I’m not a fan of most of her music although there are songs I like, but she genuinely has one of the most impressive voices in the business and I respect that. Here at the Jazz & Blues Festival in Jamaica, Celine shows the audience that she isn’t just a big voice but she also knows how to put on a good show. That’s another thing I’ve always really admired about her. Her live performances sound nearly CD quality and she does more than just stand in place on the stage. She might be a little strange but what would the world be without the strange people? A lot less interesting.

Celine Dion and her babies head home from hospital

It’s time for a big celebration for the Dion family. Celine Dion, who gave birth to twin boys via C-section on Saturday, has left the Florida hospital along with her twins to join husband Rene Angelil and 9-year-old son, René-Charles at home.

People reports,

Dion, 42, and her 5-day-old twin boys have left the Florida hospital where the babies were born via C-section on Saturday, her rep confirms to PEOPLE. “Céline and the twins went home last night,” says her rep. “Everyone’s doing great. They are happy to be home.”

Celine Dion gives birth to healthy twin boys!

Celine Dion has given birth! Within days of checking herself into hospital to prevent the early delivery of her babies, the 42-year-old singer gave birth to fraternal twin boys on Saturday. The twins are healthy but will spend the next few days in an incubator because they were born premature, Dion’s rep said.

According to People,

The singer, 42, gave birth to fraternal twin boys on Saturday at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla., at 11:11 a.m. and 11:12 a.m., her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Celine, René and their son René-Charles are thrilled,” says her rep. One of the babies weighed in at 5 lbs., 4 oz., with the other at 5 lbs., 10 oz.

Dion’s doctor, Ronald Ackerman, said at a press conference outside the hospital Friday evening that the delivery, done via C-section, went as expected. He also revealed that the twins were both born with a good amount of hair.

Her rep confirmed that Celine has been admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. The 42-year-old singer is pregnant with twins via IVF.

People reports,

In a statement issued Monday morning, the hospital says, “Ms. Céline Dion has been admitted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida for observation at the recommendation of her doctors. She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies, which is the standard of care for any patient with twin pregnancy in this clinical setting.” The statement makes clear this is a preventive measure, “done to ensure the patient can be in close contact with their doctors and clinical resources, leading up to their birth,” it says.

Celine Dion rubbishes pregnancy complication rumors

In another pregnancy-related news, singer Celine Dion has rubbished the recent reports about her hospitalization following pregnancy complications. Celine issued a statement through her rep claiming that she and her twins are in perfect condition.

Here’s the statement issued by Celine’s rep, as reported by People,

Recent reports in a French tabloid claiming that the singer was rushed to the hospital following pregnancy complications are “completely fabricated.” She’s never been in the hospital – her pregnancy continues to be healthy and she feels fantastic. They’ve gotten calls from friends worried that something is wrong. To be so happy and then to get these calls, it’s been upsetting for them when they are in such a good place. Their son Rene-Charles started the new school year last week, Celine’s feeling great, and she and Rene are excited to meet the twins – they just can’t wait.

Celine Dion is pregnant with twin boys!

Celine Dion and Rene Angelil’s patience has started to pay rich dividends and layer their married life with sweet blessings. Celine announced the news of her pregnancy last month, saying that she was expecting twins, and now the ecstatic family has issued a statement that they are expecting twin boys this November.

According to People,

The singer, 42, and husband René Angelil, who announced that they were expecting twins after a sixth in-vitro fertilization attempt earlier this year, confirmed on Dion’s official Web site Friday that she will have two more sons. “Céline first announced the upcoming new additions to the Angelil-Dion family back in May, and now she just revealed that she is expecting twin boys,” the statement reads.

Celine Dion’s $20m waterpark mansion causes drought on Florida island

article-0-09EFBBC9000005DC-926_634x919Celine Dion, who somehow managed to cheat menopause with her husbands’ cryogenically frozen sperm and get herself pregnant for the second time has brought about a drought on Jupiter Island (a place where some of the richest people in the country live) in Florida by using all of its water supply to fill her gigantic waterpark/pool system.

The pool system uses 500,000 gallons of water and includes two swimming pools, two water slides and a lazy river, which has a slow current to carry bathers around the pool.

Celine’s house, which is is a massive 9,825 square feet, lies on 5.7acres and contains an underground garage parking lot.

The mansion also boasts eight bedrooms split up in two guest rooms, a 460-square feet wardrobe, and a gym in the beach-side cabana.

According to reports, Celine angered her local community when she used up all the fresh water supply on the island, which led to a drought and water restrictions in the area.

Celine was fined for the massive use of water and in an attempt to appease her neighbours, had six wells constructed on the property to store enough water to keep the pipes pumping the 6.5million gallons needed for the park each year.

But even that hasn’t pacified the locals who, according to the National Enquirer, are furious she was even granted permission to have the wells built.

They are also concerned about the damage her actions will have on the environment, with one angry neighbour saying: ‘I don’t know how she got the well permits. The government is usually pretty restrictive with stuff like that!’

Celine Dion: “We’re Waiting For Good News Hopefully”

Songstress Celine Dion has been very open about her struggle with infertility, and how she has chosen to use In-Vitro Fertilization to become pregnant for the second time, after welcoming son René-Charles nine years ago via IVF.

In an interview on The Wendy Williams Show, via Contact Music, Dion, who has been married to René Angélil since 1994, has shared that "five" is her lucky number and that the couple are waiting on good news, they hope,

Well we're crossing our fingers. We're waiting for good news hopefully. I don't want to talk about it so much because I'm superstitious, but I know people have been very wonderful for us and praying for us. Right now we are crossing our fingers, we hope for the best and I can't wait to give people good news."

She then acknowledged the lack of privacy that she has, being in the spotlight, "Once you live in showbusiness and everything spreads out so quick and every pregnancy you have to wait three months to make sure it's all okay and it's nerve racking. We're not getting any younger and you always think it's your last chance, you're last try."

Dion, who has remained strong throughout the battle then repeated what she has shared in the past, saying, "I'm going to try until it works. Five's my lucky number, so this is the time it's got to work."

Celine Dion: Motherhood Gives Me Meaning

Despite her difficult struggle to conceive, singer Celine Dion maintains her trademark positive outlook, saying that there is "nothing else for me to wish for" beyond health and happiness. The 42-year-old chanteuse, who has 9-year-old son René-Charles with her husband René Angélil, recently chatted with PopEater about her career and her very close-knit clan.

On motherhood: “It’s not that it transforms you — it gives you a meaning. I was just, all my life, very focused in serving my voice. When I had my son, it gave me a meaning of, like, this is the best reward that I can ever have. What a great feeling that I feel — I felt big, I felt strong, rewarded… I felt like I had such a responsibility. Singing is such a pleasure and it’s so fun, but it’s not important”

“Raising a child is extremely important, it’s the biggest responsibility you can ever have. He needed me, and I was making a difference in his life, and it made me feel so wonderful. It was so amazing when I gave birth to my son that I didn’t want to come back to show business. I loved being a mom so much that I did not want to sing again. I didn’t feel the need to. And until I had the spirit that, when he was a year-and-a-half and I wanted to sing in Las Vegas and I could do both — it was possible to do both — then it was incredible. It was a balance, it was beautiful.”

Jackson kids join the stars for MJ Grammy tribute

Michael Jackson’s two eldest kids, Prince Michael, 12, and 11-year-old Paris, joined the star-studded tribute to their father at last night’s Grammy Awards. MJ was honored with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award and a spectacular 3D performance featuring Smokey Robinson, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and Usher was enacted to recognize the achievements of the deceased King of Pop.

However, the best part of this tribute was the emotional acceptance speech by Prince as he collected the award on behalf of his father. Wearing a black suit with Jackson’s trademark red arm band, Prince managed to endear the crowd with his touching speech.

Celine Dion Is “Putting Lots Of Energy” Into Getting Pregnant

Celine Dion and husband René Angélil have decided to go ahead with their fourth in-vitro procedure after the disappointment of their recent failed attempt.

“We feel great, and we’re putting lots of energy into this,” Celine tells USA Today’s Marco. R. della Cava. “But having said that, we are parents already. We’d love to be blessed again, but it’s not like everything rises or falls on this news.”

The 41-year-old singer says that her son René-Charles, who will celebrate his ninth birthday next month, was very excited to be a big brother when Celine announced her pregnancy last summer. However, when the implantation didn’t take, she used the experience as a “teaching moment”:

I told him this is all about nature, and nothing in nature is 100% -- just look at the weather. I also said to him, ‘Look at what a fighter you were. You wanted to be in this world, and so here you are.’

Celine and René, 66, will celebrate their fifteenth wedding anniversary on December 17.

Celine Dion’s dream to become a mother for a second time has suffered a major setback. Rene Angelil, her husband, revealed that she is no longer pregnant as the latest in vitro fertilization treatment she underwent was unsuccessful.

Hello! Magazine quoted him as telling the Canadian newspaper Journal de Montreal during a telephone interview from the couple’s Florida home,

We’re living the reality of the majority of couples who face these procreation techniques. The road can be long and difficult. It doesn’t always work as was the case the first time with Rene-Charles.

You may take it as a segment from a science fiction movie, but Celine Dion’s second pregnancy is no less than a fairytale with a generous dose of technology and a helping hand from fertility specialist, Dr. Zev Rosenwaks. The 41-year-old singer is pregnant with an embryo that had been kept frozen in liquid nitrogen for the past eight years.

According to People,

Dion had her embryos frozen when she went through IVF while trying to conceive her first child, René-Charles, who was born in 2001. When she completed her performance run in Las Vegas in 2007, she consulted Rosenwaks about trying again. “She came back to have the embryos transferred back because she wanted to have another baby,” he says.
