Is Drew Barrymore Knocked Up?

Has the beautiful and tenacious Drew Barrymore finally decided to settle down with one man and start a family? Well, that fact has neither been confirmed nor denied, but if the sonogram that Drew was holding last week as she was photographed walking out of a doctor’s office has anything to say about it… she may very well be expecting.

Photographed with fiance Will Kopelman, the thirty-five year old art consultant son of the former CEO of Chanel, in tow, Drew was indeed clutching on to a printed tear out from an ultrasound. BUT! Ultrasounds can be taken for many, many reasons, so that in and of itself is not proof. True, they don’t normally provide a print out of anything but a growing fetus, but still…

It wouldn’t be an unhappy surprise for Drew, though. This last October she told Us Weekly that she was ‘yearning to get married and have kids.’ Drew’s rep gave a ‘polite no comment’ when asked if she was truly preggers, but — hey — there’s certainly one way to tell if she is: girl’s gonna get fat! ;)

Now well into her second trimester, mom-to-be Christina Applegate tells Parade that all is well.

"I'm good, knock on wood," says Christina, who underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. "I have tests every three months. There's always that moment of suspense before the results, but I try to take care of myself."

"It's so great. She's the best and no one that I know is more deserving after what she's been through. Drew Barrymore adds that she's already bought the perfect gift for her pal: "It's the best. I sent her a very funny gift which I can't tell you about! But I'm very happy for her."

The baby on the way will be the first for Christina and her fiance Martyn LeNoble.

Luke Wilson Wants To Be A Daddy!

Luke Wilson is eager to be a daddy, but first he’s got to find the girl!

“I’m working on that one,” says the 38-year-old actor. “Start a family, start tucking my shirt in and wear a belt, putting the right button in the right hole.”

I’ve got to find the girl, number one. And then I’ve got to somehow make her believe in me – that’s going to take a couple years. I’ve got to BS her into thinking I’ve got my (stuff) together.

The Idiocracy star, who dated Drew Barrymore in the late 90s, realizes that his years as a bachelor are catching up to him and that his busy work schedule has prevented him from searching for love. However, he worries that he won’t get to live his dream of fatherhood until he’s too old to enjoy it.

“I’m always thinking about this job or that job or when I have a movie coming out. Before you know it, a decade’s gone by,” explains Luke. “And then I start to think, “Well, hell, Anthony Quinn has kids when he was 80. I shouldn’t be in a hurry.” But I don’t want to have to pay neighbourhood kids to throw the football with my kid.”

This isn’t the first time Luke has opened up about his desire to become a father. In 2008 he told US TV talk show host Juliet Huddy, “I’m going to be 37 next week. Do men have a biological clock? I feel like I do. Something is definitely ticking!”

Perhaps someday we'll see his offspring on the big screen just like their father and his brothers, actors Owen and Andrew Wilson.

Gay Karl Lagerfeld speaks out against same sex marriage and gay parents

KarlLagerfeld_doomsday_604x341

Karl Lagerfeld is one of the biggest names in the flamboyant fashion design industry, but the German mogul wasn’t afraid to open up about his views against same-sex marriage and gay parents raising a family.

“I’m against it (gay marriage) for a very simple reason: In the 60’s, they all said we had the right to the difference. And now, suddenly, they want a bourgeois life,” Lagerfeld recently told contemporary youth culture magazine, Vice. “For me it’s difficult to imagine—one of the papas at work and the other at home with the baby. How would that be for the baby? I don’t know. I see more lesbians married with babies than I see boys married with babies. And I also believe more in the relationship between mother and child than in that between father and child.”

And not surprisingly, Lagerfeld’s words have hit others where it hurts.

“Absolutely (it is offensive). But that’s Karl,” says prominent Los Angeles stylist Phillip Bloch, whose client roster includes everyone from Halle Berry to Drew Barrymore to Mariah Carey.  “Karl is about pushing a button and that’s his point of view. That’s why he’s an expressionist and he is a reference. It’s a matter of equality, we should pay the same taxes, we should be able to get married, we should all be able to vote, be up for the same jobs, we should all be allowed to be happy and we should all be allowed to be miserable.

“[Karl] is definitely a supremacist and of course he said, “Of course I think much more about the relationship with the mother and the child as opposed to the father and the child.” Well, for someone who’s so creative, how could you be so single-minded? It’s very single-minded but it’s Karl’s way of thinking. I don’t think it’s wrong, I think it’s funny and it’s cute to me that Karl thinks that way.”

Drew Barrymore: “I Think I’d Be A Good Parent”

Drew Barrymore hasn't always been lucky in love - her first marriage lasted 9 weeks, her second, to comedian Tom Green, 5 months - but the Whip It director says she's definitely open to taking another walk down the aisle and to starting a family.

‘Well, I’d never say never to marriage and kids," she tells the UK's The Daily Mail.

Now 35, Drew has spent most of her life in the public eye. Her father John Barrymore was a successful actor and her mother also had Hollywood aspirations. After shooting to stardom at just 7 years old thanks to a role in her godfather Steven Spielberg's film E.T., Drew's teenage years were difficult, bringing addiction, rehab and a suicide attempt.

Casey Johnson lived in rat-infested home without basic utilities

article-1241101-07C55951000005DC-743_468x258

Casey Johnson lived her final days in squalor in a garbage-strewn slum with no electricity, water or gas, and rats in her swimming pool.

Cut off from her family fortune, the 30-year-old Johnson & Johnson heiress’s privileged life spiralled out of control into a drug-fuelled hell.

But last night, friends said Johnson was broke as she battled diabetes and emotional demons in the final months of her life.

She reportedly lived without basic utilities at her rented home because she couldn’t afford to pay the bills and kept her Porsche hidden in the garage to prevent it from being repossessed.

‘It was like Grey Gardens,’ said one friend, referring to the infamously squalid mansion lived in for decades by relatives of Jackie Onassis, which was the subject of a TV drama last year starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange.

There are dirty dishes everywhere and rotting food. There is graffiti on the walls. The pool looks like a swamp,’ the source told the New York Post.

Sources say she had been dead for up to seven days before her body was found.

Her diabetes was said to be getting worse after her body built up a tolerance to insulin.

But friends claimed she made her condition worse by taking prescription medication such as OxyContin and Adderall as well marijuana, Ecstasy and cocaine.

Neighbours said there was a revolving door of shady-looking characters at Ms Johnson’s house.

‘I saw very trendy rock-and-roll seedy types coming in there at all hours of the night,’ said one neighbour.

Johnson, whose billionair father Woody owns the New York Jets American Football team, was reportedly rushed to hospital several times in recent months because she failed to take her insulin properly, although her family disputed the claim saying a pump delivered her medicine automatically.

In November, she allegedly tried to commit suicide and spent three days in intensive care after taking a drug overdose.

The Los Angeles Coroner’s Office said yesterday that an initial autopsy was inconclusive, although there appeared to be no evidence of suicide or trauma to her body.

According to TMZ, there was a ‘significant amount’ of prescription drugs at the house.

‘Her family were giving her tough love and said she was cut off unless she went into rehab. They did everything they could to help her, but she wouldn’t help herself,’ a friend told the Post.

Casey Johnson’s funeral is expected to be held in New York on Sunday.

Kate Beckinsale & Lily Mo Hit The Shops

Shopping spree! Kate Beckinsale and her 10-year-old daughter Lily Mo Sheen were spotted carrying their bags back to the car after what looks like a very productive trip to Fred Segal in Santa Monica, California today (December 13).

The British-born actress can currently be seen alongside Robert DeNiro and Drew Barrymore in the holiday film Everybody's Fine.

Kate Beckinsale & Lily Mo Rock The Red Carpet

What a gorgeous pair! Kate Beckinsale and her 10-year-old daughter Lily Mo Sheen attended the Tribeca Institute benefit screening of their movie Everybody's Fine in New York City on Thursday (December 3).

Kate stars in Everybody's Fine alongside Hollywood heavyweights Robert De Niro and Drew Barrymore. Lily's father, New Moon star Michael Sheen, recently talked about his daughter's acting debut in the film.

My daughter is in Everybody's Fine. I couldn't believe that her first role in a major film puts her mostly in scenes with Robert De Niro. I totally admired him growing up, and he was a large part of what made me want to be a film actor. So I said to Lily, 'What did you call him? Did you call him like, Bobby or Mr. De Niro?' And she went, 'No, I called him Sir.' So I said, 'Right. And from now on you shall call me Sir...'"

Forbes:Will Ferrell most overpaid actor in Hollywood

08_heidi-klum-will-ferrell_09

Funnyman Will Ferrell and British actor Ewan McGregor on Wednesday headed a Forbes.com list of Hollywood’s most overpaid stars when looking at the financial returns of their movies.

Billy Bob Thornton, Tom Cruise and Jim Carrey also made the top 10 tally of actors who cost more to hire than they appear to be worth at box offices.

Ferrell took first place largely due to the flop of his summer 2009 movie “Land of the Lost”, which Forbes said cost an estimated $100 million to make but earned just $65 million at box offices worldwide for movie studio Universal Pictures.

The movie followed a disappointing $43 million box office for Ferrell’s 2008 outing “Semi-Pro“, and $128 million for “Step Brothers“.

Using a formula that calculated the actor’s estimated salary on each film, including DVD and TV sales, compared to the film’s revenues from theater box offices and elsewhere, Forbes.com said that for every dollar Ferrell was paid, his films earned an average $3.29.

To create the list, the financial news website looked at Hollywood’s 100 biggest stars who had lead performances in at least three widely distributed movies in the last five years.

McGregor, best known for “Trainspotting” and his work in the “Star Wars” franchise, is not among Hollywood’s highest paid actors but has recently proved a poor investment, averaging a return of $3.75.

Cruise, considered one of the biggest players in Hollywood, came sixth on the list with a return on investment of $7.18. Forbes said he had benefited from deals where he took nothing up front in return for a portion of the box-office gross. The deal resulted in Cruise getting paid for films like “Lions for Lambs” even if the studio did not recoup its money.

Eddie Murphy commanded a high salary after the success of family comedies like “The Nutty Professor“. But his most recent films “Meet Dave” and “Imagine That” were box office duds, taking Murphy to fourth place for earning an average $4.43 for each dollar he was paid, Forbes.com said.

Forbes 10 Most Overpaid Stars were;

1. Will Ferrell ($3.29)

2. Ewan McGregor ($3.75)

3. Billy Bob Thornton ($4)

4. Eddie Murphy ($4.43)

5. Ice Cube ($4.77)

6. Tom Cruise ($7.18)

7. Drew Barrymore ($7.43)

8. Leonardo DiCaprio ($7.52)

9. Samuel Jackson ($8.59)

10. Jim Carrey ($8.62)

Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page fake lesbianism for Marie Claire

gallery_main-0910_drew_barrymore_ellen_001

The October issue of Marie Claire has Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page sitting down for an “intimate chat”…and somehow ending up tasting each other’s chewing gum. Now, if you were hoping for some juicy revelation about smelling each other’s petunias back in their trailer at the end of a long and tiring day of filming Whip It, sadly you will be disappointed. The discussion revolves around their chick bonding backpacking experience in Romania…not even a hint of a threesome with a local dressed as Count Dracula…or at least a reference to naked pictures taken after a few shots of “Palinka”(national alcoholic beverage of Romania currently in a fight with Hungary over origin bragging rights…err, learnt that at our last AA meeting).

Anyway, at least you have the picture with the kiss…just close your eyes and pretend it’s real, and that it’s happening in the middle of your bedroom with you wearing a big, bad wolf costume (What? The tale of two naughty Red Riding Hoods could have happened in Romania, right?).

Drew Barrymore flaunts her butterfly

0
Drew Barrymore was spotted flaunting her inner butterfly (the cute tattoo just underneath her belly button) around East Village neighborhood of New York City on Friday afternoon. Wearing a blue striped shirt with a matching bow tie and white 3/4 trousers, Drew once again demonstrated her unfaltering fashion sense with deadly precision. Take the cue girls, that’s how you wear your shirt! I know I’ve said this umpteen times, but let me repeat it once more - Drew Barrymore is the most gorgeous babe alive! Scope out the beautiful gallery right after the jump.

Drew Barrymore is mad-ly in love

drew-barrymore-justin-long-at-bonnaroo-music-and-arts-festival-in-tennessee-31

Drew Barrymore looked like a Cherokee who inhaled too much smoke standing next to Justin Long at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tenn. Don’t know what happens when these two are together, but every time Drew seems to get re-connected wtih her inner spirit of Earth, Water and Fire and becomes a cross between a stoned hippie and a homeless bum…love does make you crazy after all…
