Mo’s Nose: A Scent-sational Children’s Book Series

Most of us are familiar with reading a book. But what about smelling a book? Now you can engage your kids in reading by using both their eyes and their nose. The Mo's Nose series of children's books take readers of all ages on a scentsational adventure through vibrant scents and hues, each emphasizing a different theme such as Love (Red), the environment (Green), Charity (Holidays) and Blue (Freedom).

When we asked actress and one of our favorite celebrity moms, Liv Tyler, about Mo's Nose, she told us, "I love this book especially for how it includes aromatherapy". Other Hollywood moms like Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Garner and Gabby Reese have become enthusiasts as well.

Celebrity parents such as Tobey Maguire, Cat Cora and Gabby Reece helped promote the Teaching Garden at Inglewood, California’s Kelso Elementary School. Gabby talked with Celebrity Baby Scoop about the importance of empowering students to understand how a few small changes can make a life saving difference.

Gabby Reece: “Laird & I Really Want A Sense Of Normalcy”

Gabby Reece is a model, legendary volleyball player, mother-of-three and creator of the honeyline. The 40-year-old model mom sat down with Celebrity Baby Scoop for a candid look into her family life, her tips on blending families, her hopes to make a difference in physical education and how she and professional big-wave surfer husband, Laird Hamilton, foster self esteem in all three of their girls: “I’ve always told my husband that he’s the girls’ first boyfriend."

Gabby also weighed in on a few hot topics such as the obesity epidemic in our culture, home-schooling and her thoughts on the Tiger Woods scandal.

CBS: What have you been up to since we last talked?

GR: “We’ve been in Hawaii for the winter. It’s been great: not rainy and a lot of surf. I was back for a few days in California.

I shot for The Biggest Loser. It was great! I can’t give away too much since it airs in April. I took the contestants through a beach workout and I give them a lot of credit - it was a really hard workout! They didn’t stop even once.

It was amazing the amount of weight that people had lost by the time I saw them.

Homewreckers R Us: Gabrielle Union Blogs About Chris Henry and Tiger Woods

Gabby decided to blog about the Chris Henry and Tiger Woods situation. She enlightens us with the same speech that she probably gives herself every morning to justify the fact that she’s a homewrecker. Guess she’s taking the approach of, “If you can’t beat em’… Join em!!!”:

Why are we all so quick to stop looking in the mirror at our own troubled lives…bad credit, lack of education or job skills, poor choices with the opposite sex, trying to live like Diddy when our homes are getting foreclosed, gossiping, jealous ranting or hating, or even not communicating with loved ones…its soooooo much easier to be obsessed with Tiger and Elin than dealing with our own troubled relationships…why get counseling for your daddy/mama/brother sister/relationship issues when we can hunt down a distraught woman and her 2 young children like animals??!! Why worry about how to pay for healthcare when we can laugh and joke about Lindsey Lohan. Journalists COULD do their jobs and sift through fact from what’s in the National Inquirer but why when it’s sooooooo much easier to print lies/half truths or straight up fairy tales to sell newspapers or magazines…forget about journalistic integrity when you’ve got to compete with the internet…who needs truth and compassion when we can’t wait for the next senseless tragedy or starlet scandal??!!

When will we come together and demand more from ourselves…more love and less hate…more fact finding than dirt digging…more lifting each other up and figuring out a way for life to improve than kicking people when they’re down…hold yourself to the same high standards we set for people on TV that we’ll never meet and don’t put food on our tables…be the person you always wanted to be…I’d like to think we were all born inherently good and on occasion make mistakes…stop looking in your neighbor’s backyard or Tigers’ or the girl who got the guy you liked or the dude who got the promotion you thought you deserved…we can only control ourselves…KEEP LOOKING IN THE MIRROR…that’s where the answers are that can truly change your life. In fact, lemme get off this damn blackberry and help my niece figure out how we’re gonna pay for college next year…tiger can’t help me with that…that’s all me :) peace and love and many blessings!!!

Gabby sheds some well thought out inspiration but you can’t help but think, this is exactly how she justified her actions when everything first went down with D. Wade.

Mo’Nique Addresses Oscar Buzz and Haters and Bossip’s ‘Precious’ Performance Review

If you haven’t seen Precious, we “highly” recommend you go see it as it’s a story that must be told and is relevant to a whole lot of people. Have you been verbally abused and tortured by a family member? Sexually abused? Mo’Nique recently was interviewed and addressed a few things about the movie. BOSSIP also grades the individual performances under the hood

Mo’Nique: A-

Oscar-worthy performance and it will be artistic robbery if she is not in the mix.

Gabourey Sidibe (Precious): B+

You couldn’t tell she is a rookie at this. Not only did Gabby do the damn thing, this had to take a lot of courage to pull-off.

Paula Patton: C

We aren’t sure if Paula Patton ( Ms. Blu Rain) was supposed to connect with Gabby, if that was the intention, it failed. On a side note, was the lesbian relationship really necessary? There was already too much going on in the movie.

Mariah Carey: C+

A step up from Glitter, but that’s not saying much. We think MiMi did a good job. We didn’t see an authentic-looking connection and chemistry between Gabby(Precious) and MiMi. Didn’t see it with Paula Patton either. Poor Precious, no one connects with her poor soul during the entire movie.

Overall Movie Grade: A-

Moviefone’s interview:

Are you surprised that people are so surprised you have the dramatic chops that you display in this movie?

Well, I think that people are surprised because they oftentimes want to put us in a box. And it’s like, “OK, well, you can only do this.” And it’s so unfortunate becuase there are so many talented people out there that get put in boxes and they don’t choose to fight their way out of it. It’s like, “Guys, I’m an entertainer. I love being funny, that’s what keeps me alive. But I also love entertaining, period.”

What would earning an Oscar nomination mean to you?

Any nomination would be appreciative, but we’ve already won it. We’ve already won. Because when you get an Asian brother that comes up to you and says, “Mo’Nique, what I’m going to say to you is going to sound really weird, but I have to say it. I am Mary Jones, and I was Mary Jones to my brother and my sister.” And now he’s sobbing and we’re embracing and I said, “Congratulations for your honesty, now go get you some help.” We’ve already won.

There’s been a lot written in the media about you missing a couple movie premieres and not doing enough to promote the film. Do you think that coverage has been fair?

Well, who’s saying that? Because no one can tell me who, Kevin, do you know who they are [laughs]? Because I want to meet them! Who are “they”? Baby, people gonna talk. It comes with the territory. But didn’t they talk about Jesus? Then they killed him. So, what makes me think I’m so special that they’re not gonna talk about me?

MovieFone has the rest of the Interview.

The Movie “Precious” Pulls in $1.8 Million Opening Weekend and Gabourey Sidibe Goes on The “Today” Show

“Precious” debuted this weekend at the movies and did $1.8 million. It didn’t make the top three but that is pretty damn good for a movie that was only released in 18 theaters around the US. Gabourey Sidibe made an appearance on the TODAY Show and tells how she even got the roll.

Pop it for Gabby’s Interview

Precious will be released nationwide November 20th.

If you haven’t seen the trailer take a peek…

How many of you think that this movie will be on the list for Oscar nominations???

Mariah Carey says to the world: Damn I be ugly without makeup

It’s official, Revlon is too big to fail. She wanted to be taken seriously as an actress and what better way than to be filmed butt-ass ugly for her new movie, Precious. Hell, it worked for Charlize Theron in Monster so who knows, maybe lightning will strike Mariah as well. We wonder in Nick sees this every morning lying next to him.

The film, originally called Push, is based on the novel Push by American author Sapphire and is set in New York in 1987.

It tells the story of overweight, illiterate New York teen Claireece ‘Precious’ Jones (Gabby Sidibe) who falls pregnant with her second child aged 16.

She is then invited to enroll in an alternative school in the hope it will transform her life.
