Al Gore’s Daughter Karenna Splits From Husband

Last week, the world was stunned to learn that political power couple Al and Tipper Gore were splitting up after 40 years of marriage. In another sad turn of events, People reports that their daughter, 36-year old Karenna Gore Schiff, has separated from her husband of 12 years, 44-year-old Andrew Shiff.

A source tells People that Karenna and Andrew have been in marriage counseling and have been seperated for a few months, but are not divorced. Don't look for either of them to comment about their seperation publicly, their reps did not talk to People and probably won't in the future.

Karenna and Andrew have three kids from the marriage, Wyatt, 10; Anna, 8; and Oscar, 3. The source tells People that Al and Tipper have been helping Karenna out with the kids since learning of the seperation. The source says, "Like all families, they rally."

Jack White & Karen Elson’s Quiet Nashville Life

It is not often that we hear stories of former White Stripes frontman Jack White and wife, British model Karen Elson. Out of the Hollywood spotlight, the two share a quiet life just outside of Nashville, Tn., with their two children, Scarlett, 4, and Henry, 2.

White has made his mark on the music industry in various bands and with solo work, and now it is Elson's turn, with the stunning mama releasing her new album, The Ghost Who Walks, and embarking on a tour in June. White has said that their children are keen on music as well, "They're very musical - they're quite funny in how intently they pay attention to things."

The album has a dark undertone to it, and Elson revealed to the Times Online how it may affect their children, "Our daughter [Scarlett] is going to be 4 very soon, and our son [Henry] is 2½. I often say to Jack, ‘There’s going to be a point when our children view us as the Addams Family’. But we’re not trying to raise them in some fantasy world. If they end up liking Miley Cyrus, well, I’m happy with that. Computer games, I’m not so happy about."

FDA investigates fake “Unfaithful” Tiger Woods Gatorade

The Food and Drug Administration is investigating the appearance of Gatorade bottles with fake labels reading “Unfaithful” accompanied by pictures of Tiger Woods and his estranged wife Elin Nordegren in Colorado grocery stores, 9 News reported.

Karen May, spokeswoman for Gatorade, told the Associated Press that the company did not produce the labels, nor would she reveal whether the bottles held actual Gatorade. Gatorade did not respond to Slashfood’s request for comment.

An e-mail address on the fake label belonged to Jason Kay of Longmont, Col., 9 News reported. He says was involved, but called the “Unfaithful” labels a friend’s “pop art” project. Kay said his friend did not want to be contacted. “The artist wants to remain anonymous because there are similar future projects in the works.”
Kay told 9 News he and his friend planted about 1,000 bottles in the Denver area. Some, numbered one to 100, were part of a “collectors edition.” He would not say how much the stunt cost to pull off, nor would he say whether Gatorade knew his friend’s identity.

The FDA’s Office of Criminal Investigations is investigating whether the situation qualifies as a tampering or adulteration case, 9 News reported.

FDA spokeswoman Siobhan DeLancey told the AP the agency doesn’t confirm or deny investigations, but the Huffington Post reported the agency considers it an “isolated incident.”

Harrison Ford talks Indiana Jones 5, although he might have fallen asleep and wet himself while doing it

Harrison Ford says he’s eager to pick up his iconic bullwhip for a fifth instalment of Indiana Jones. Only this time he’ll have to wear extra large pants to hide his depends (damned that enlarged prostate and the incontinence it brings), the set will have to carry portable defibrillators to start up his heart again when the scene requires intensive action such as crouching or bending to check out a treasure chest (at which point poo particles and farts may or may not be released) and extra care must be taken to not leave his dentures in Karen Allen’s mouth when the scene requires geriatric foreplay.

Ford said: “There’s a lot of pleasures in making an Indiana Jones movie, and one of them is working with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg again.

“One of them is making a movie that’s one of the rare big-scale movies that are being done these days. I get a lot of opportunity for collaboration and openness from those films.

“George is working on an idea – if it comes to a fruitful stage, we’re all very interested in making another.”

“I think it would be interesting to advance the understanding of the character and deepen the relationship between him and his son and play on the relationships,” Ford said.

“I’ve always been interested in developing the character, and bringing more information about the character each time we’ve gone out.

“We’ve found ways of doing that by introducing Sean Connery as my father, Mutt as my son, bringing back Karen Allen – all of those things that work for me. So if we find another story to do and we develop the character a little further and I get a chance to do another one, I’d be happy as pie to do it.”

Madonna facing lawsuit and eviction over noise levels

No,  it was not Jesus’s pleading screams for mercy as Madonna sank her fangs into his baby nipples and “accidentally” chewed one off that have got her into trouble (she has a secret soundproof torture chamber for that)…it’s actually Madonna going deaf…which subsequently requires her to turn up her music to such high levels when she’s dancing that her downstairs neighbour keeps choking on her loose dentures.

According to the New York Post, the Material Girl has turned her Central Park West apartment into a makeshift dance studio, and her stomping should get her evicted, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed yesterday.

“Madonna and one or more of her invited guests repeatedly dance and train . . . to unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music, causing noise and vibration to pour through the walls, ceilings and radiators,” claims the suit, filed by Karen George, who lives above the singer’s seventh-floor pad.

“Ms. George has been forced to endure blaring music, stomping and shaking walls for approximately one and a half to three hours each day,” the suit against the building board says.

The board says Madonna has already been threatened with eviction if the dance sessions don’t stop.

NYC neighbor sues Madonna over loud music, dancing

NEW YORK (AP) – One of Madonna’s New York neighbors says the superstar’s loud music and frequent dance sessions are causing a commotion.

Karen George, of Manhattan, lives above Madonna in a building on Central Park.

She said in a lawsuit filed Friday against the building’s co-op board that the Material Girl is using her apartment as a rehearsal studio, forcing neighbors to endure “blaring music, stomping and shaking walls,” for up to three hours each day.

George complained about “unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music” and vibrations pouring through walls, ceilings and radiators.

The building’s board says it has already threatened to evict Madonna.

Madonna’s representatives didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Bummer:Lindsay Lohan is not into stealing her own stuff…just other people’s

Just when we thought the culprit burglarizing Lindsay Lohan’s house was Lindsay trying to a) relieve the thrill of stealing high-end merchandise from all her magazine cover shoots or b) attempting to convince producers her life’s interesting enough for a reality show, here come the cops smashing our theories to pieces. Apparently they arrested an 18 year-old thug named Nicholas Prugo…which is a major bummer…unless ofcourse Elle Magazine promised him a cut if he succeeded in extracting their $50,000 hostages held captive in Lilo’s closet.

Here’s the full story from People:

The culprit caught on security videos in both Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge’s home burglaries has been arrested, Los Angeles police announced.

Nicholas Prugo, 18, was arrested Thursday morning in connection with the two break-ins. He was charged with felony burglary and is being held on $20,000 bail, police records show.

Lohan’s mother Dina tells PEOPLE, “Yes, we have found (him), God is good.”

Lohan’s Hollywood Hills home was burglarized last month by a young man and woman in which a safe was ripped out of the wall, and bags, shoes and jewelry were stolen.

In February, the apparent same pair broke into Patridge’s Los Angeles home and was caught on tape making off with several bags of her possessions.

So far, police have only confirmed the arrest of Prugo. “As of now we just have this one person in custody, and the investigation is ongoing,” says LAPD spokeswoman Karen Rayner.

The break-ins were among a rash of recent starlet burglaries in the past year, all within several miles of each other. Paris Hilton, Hayden Panattiere and Rachel Bilson have also been victimized, but Prugo was not arrested in those cases.

Ex-supermodel Karen Mulder abandons her sanity but keeps the 90’s leather hot pants

Karen Mulder used to be hot…really hot. Teamed with Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Campbell she was the one that made you think if heaven existed angels would look like her…until she went psycho and started making Naomi Campbell’s killing tendencies seem like childish tantrums.

Back in 2001 she claimed she and other models had been used as sex slaves by senior politicians and policeman, even falsely claiming she had been raped by Prince Albert of Monaco.

She soon attended a psychiatric hospital suffering from chronic depression, blaming it on drug addiction during her modeling days.

A year later she attempted suicide by taking an overdose of sleeping pills and was only saved by friends.

In July of this year, she was arrested in Paris for threatening to kill her plastic surgeon after a botched surgery. A few weeks later she and her flappers were enjoying the French Riviera on a boat with fellow sufferer, Kate Moss.

Flappers firmly secured in a bondage top and saggy behind held in place by tight leather pants, the 39 year-old looked every part the fallen angel as she drunk her way into oblivion during a recent all-night party session.

Michael Jackson takes the stage for the last time today

Michael Jackson’s body is expected to go on show to his fans and a worldwide TV audience at today’s memorial service in Los Angeles.

His gold-plated £18,000 coffin is set to be put on display open-topped at the Staples Centre sports and entertainment arena.

His body will ‘lie in state’ after being driven from the Forest Lawn cemetery in Hollywood Hills where the Jackson family attended a service last night.

Among those present were the singer’s two older children Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11. His sisters Janet and La Toya Jackson, together with their parents Joe and Katherine and Jacko’s five brothers, were also there.

The procession to the Staples Centre is being described as America’s “Princess Diana moment”. The Jackson brothers were said be keen on the body being driven in an open coffin so that mourners could throw flowers.

A team of circus elephants and tigers were being lined up for a show at the Staples Centre.

The funeral arrangements were being reported in the LA Times and on the TMZ website, which first revealed the 50-year-old singer’s death 12 days ago.

Even for Jackson, whose life was littered with bizarre episodes, the memorial plan was seen by some as ghoulish and the family was said to be divided over whether to make the ceremony more discreet.

The Jacksons’ deeply religious mother, Katherine, was reported to be anxious for a more low-key affair.

The California Highway Patrol was preparing to provide an escort for the family motorcade to travel the 11 miles between the cemetery and the Staples Centre. A cordon has already been thrown around the area to keep at a distance the thousands of fans without tickets who are expected to turn up.

More than 1.6 million people registered for free tickets to the memorial. A total of 8,750 people received two each.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor, one of Jackson’s closest friends, said she was snubbing the “public hoopla’” of the event. The veteran film star, 77, was asked to speak at the memorial, but turned the organisers down.

In a statement on Twitter, she wrote: “I just don’t believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others.’’

Jackson’s brother, Jermaine, was being tipped to headline a show at the Staples Centre which was scheduled to begin at 6pm British time. He was due to be joined on stage by guests including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Usher and Brooke Shields.

“Everything about the memorial has to do with accommodating as many fans as possible,” said Ken Sunshine, the Jackson family spokesman.

British Airways reported a surge of bookings as soon as the memorial arrangements were announced. Virgin’s flights to San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles were packed. Paul Charles, a BA spokesman said: “This is America’s version of Princess Diana. People want to be in the vicinity.”

Britain’s Got Talent schoolboy Shaheen Jafargholi has been flown to Los Angeles to pay tribute to his hero Michael Jackson at his memorial service.

Shaheen, 12, who performed Jackson’s Who’s Lovin You on BGT in May, secretly flew out to LA with his mother last night and said: ‘Michael was a huge inspiration to me.

‘I am honoured and privileged to have been invited to perform here.’

He will join a galaxy of stars poised to appear at the event, including Mariah Carey, Usher and Dreamgirls movie star Jennifer Hudson.

The Swansea schoolboy was invited to sing by the Jackson family, who told him the King of Pop was a huge fan of his tribute act.

A source at the memorial service said: ‘Michael saw a clip from Britain’s Got Talent on YouTube.

‘He thought it was fantastic and even considered getting him on stage to perform with him at some of his 02 shows later this year.’

A host of stars will gather for a memorial service to remember Michael Jackson which has seen tickets for the event being offered by touts on eBay for as much as $100,000.

Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and Liza Minnelli are among the guests expected to attend the ceremony, which is being held at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

U.S. President Barack Obama, Justin Timberlake, Aretha Franklin and Lionel Richie are also thought to have received invitations, although Obama began a two-day visit to Moscow yesterday and will not be able to attend.

Details of the service have been kept under wraps, but guests will mourn the singer with a programme called ‘A Celebration of Life’, and one of the highlights is rumoured to be a performance of Jackson 5 hit I’ll Be There by Mariah Carey.

One person who won’t be at the memorial is Debbie Rowe, Jackson’s ex-wife and the mother of his two oldest children.

She had planned to attend, but backed out today.

Her lawyer Marta Almli said: ‘The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael’s legacy.

‘Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael’s memory privately.’

Family and close friends of the late Michael Jackson gathered  last night for a private viewing at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

Those in attendance included Michael’s children Prince Michael and Paris, and sister Janet who travelled together in one car.

LaToya arrived separately in a chauffeured green Bentley. Brother Randy Jackson attended as well, with Jackson’s make-up artist Karen Faye.

Police have advised people without tickets to stay away and watch the event on television, fearing traffic chaos by the Staples Centre.

And they will impose a two-block exclusion zone around the stadium to prevent those without tickets from trying to attend.

Dozens of police officers and a fire engine were parked outside Dodger Stadium today, where ticket winners could start picking up their coveted passes to the Staples Centre ceremony.

More than 1.6 million people registered to win the coveted free tickets, and only 8,750 names were chosen. Tickets are now being touted, with some being offered for as much as $100,000 on auction site eBay.

But a spokesperson from the auction website warned in a statement: ‘eBay will not allow the sale of tickets to the Michael Jackson Memorial Service being held on Tues 7 July. All such listings currently on any of our sites are being removed.’

Lucky fans celebrated when they got an e-mail saying they had scored the hottest ticket in town.

A judge ruled yesterday that Jackson’s lawyer and a friend should take over the pop singer’s estate for now, rejecting a request from the singer’s mother to be put in charge or share control.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff backed lawyer John Branca and music executive John McClain, who had been designated in Jackson’s 2002 will as the people he wanted to administer his estate.

Lawyer’s for the pop singer’s mother repeatedly objected to their appointment at today’s court hearing.

Weitzman issued a statement later calling the judge’s ruling ‘the correct decision.’

Her lawyer, Burt Levitch, expressed concerns about McClain and Branca’s financial leadership.

Jackson died June 25, deeply in debt. But court papers estimate that his estate will be worth more than $500 million. His assets are destined for a private trust.

Meanwhile, BBC2 is to clear its schedule to screen the Michael Jackson memorial service live, it was announced today.

The channel will devote an hour and a half to the event from 6pm with DJ Trevor Nelson hosting the coverage. It will also be shown on the BBC’s HD channel.

TV channel Five has already devoted a 90-minute slot to the live event.

The BBC’s decision to pull its advertised programmes follows last week’s decision to overhaul BBC1 programmes to allow extended live coverage of Andy Murray’s game against Stanislas Wawrinka.

Nick Vaughan-Barratt , head of BBC Events, said: “Michael Jackson is one of the most influential pop stars of all time and we’re pleased to bring BBC viewers coverage of this important event.

‘The executive producer in LA has described the rehearsals as awesome, powerful and tearful so we’re expecting a moving tribute this evening.’
