Kony 2012 … Invisible Agenda

By now I’m sure you have all seen the Kony 2012 video .  I have to admit I watched it and it tugged at my heartstrings just like it did to millions of others.  The video has gone beyond viral.  There are now many critics/cynics popping up all over as well,  mainly criticism of the Invisible Children organization.  The IC is an organization that has been under much scrutiny for being shady in the past with what they’ve done with their funds in the past.   There are claims that less than 35% of donations even reached Uganda.   Actually the IC has spent 80.46% of their money towards their total cause.  Their entire financial statements including their 990 are available online for anyone to see.  It seems that lies are being spread by cynics almost all over the Internet by people believing whatever they read.  People are jumping on the ‘Kony 2012 is a scam’ bandwagon just the same as they are jumping on the ‘Kony 2012 will help the war children of Uganda’ bandwagon.  I do not support the IC by any means…stay with me here.  The Ugandan military and the SPLA (Sudan People’s Liberation Army) are guilty of rape and murder as well.  Not on the level of Kony but still…rape and murder is rape and murder.  The IC says they are very aware of their human rights violations but have to side with local government agencies in order to further their cause.  Reminds me of when the US supported Iraq in the war against Iran back in the day.  Remember?  But then, that whole fiasco was about oil.  The more I look into this, the more it reeks of hidden political agendas.  The Government didn’t want to support the cause a few years back but now suddenly because the ‘people’ want it?  Seriously?  Kony hasn’t even set foot in Uganda since 2006 or 2008 depending on your source.  Either way it’s been almost a decade.  Did you know that oil was recently found in Uganda?  Now our government wants to get involved.  Coincidence?  The video is so slick…just grabs you by the heart and makes you want to donate tears made of money into their cause.  There are just too many lies on both sides at this point.  Donating $30 for a t-shirt, a few posters and a couple bracelets will not help save a child anymore than updating my status on Facebook for an hour will prevent child abuse.  I love how people are all over this yet I know a certain Nigerian Prince who gets nothing but ridicule when he wants a few dollars….What about the children here in the U.S. getting raped and murdered each and everyday?  The runaways, the child prostitutes, and porn rings…right here under our noses?  On April 20th they’re gonna plaster this assholes face all over the world…great,  what is that going to cost the tax payer in clean that sh*t up?  It’s going to be like having to look at Bin Laden everyday for a year…how long are we going to see his face past Dec 2012?  Just a thought.

Taylor Armstrong is now accusing her dead husband of wanting to murder her

Because that $125,000 she got from ET for selling her picture with a punched-up eye will go that far, Taylor Armstrong is now making the local TV rounds telling people how Desperate Housewives has saved her from getting murdered. “I want to open up my heart and soul and tell you about this murder-suicide plot I came up with last night as I was looking at myself in the mirror. I really need to get myself some new cheekbones and my 5-year old daughter’s butt skin will go only so far. So are we good for $100,000?”:

‘If cameras were not in my life, there’s a good chance I wouldn’t be sitting here today,’ Taylor told KTLA-TV in Los Angeles today.

She said she believed that she could have died via murder or murder-suicide.

‘I’m thankful to be here especially for my daughter,’ she said of her five-year-old little girl Kennedy.

‘Imagine if she had two less parents instead of one.’

‘I was handed a very specific mission, by the grace of God, through a tragedy,’ Armstrong said.

‘A lot of domestic violence situations end in murder-suicide, versus just suicide. I have my daughter with me today, and by the grace of god and, perhaps, reality TV, I’m sitting here and so is she.’

‘I believe that, subconsciously, I may have signed up for the show to try and allow my problems to be in the public eye to some extent because, again, it was my saving grace,’ she said.

Austin Powers actor prime suspect in fellow sex offender murder

The “Austin Powers” actor recently convicted of torturing a woman in a brutal 1990 rape is now suspected of murdering his prison cellmate, state officials said Tuesday.

Prison officials believe Joseph Son, best known for playing the shoe-throwing henchman Random Task in the 1997 Mike Meyers movie, killed the 50-year-old inmate found dead in his cell about 5:50 p.m. Monday at Wasco State Prison-Reception Center in Kern County.

The victim, whose name was being withheld pending family notification, was tossed in jail last June for failing to register as a sex offender.

He was serving a two-year sentence. The manner of death was not released.

Son, 40, began his life sentence at Wasco last month after a jury found him guilty of torturing a 19-year-old woman in a horrific Christmas Eve rape that happened years before he snagged the iconic “Austin Powers” role.

Evidence was collected from the victim, but the trail went cold until Son was forced to give a DNA sample following a 2008 conviction for felony vandalism.

Prosecutors said the female victim was walking home with her dog after looking at Christmas lights when Son stopped her about 12:30 a.m. in Orange County, Calif.

Son and a cohort kidnapped the woman, pistol whipped her, raped her at gunpoint, threatened to kill her and released her naked with her pants tied around her eyes.

The woman, identified in court papers as Jane Doe, begged for her life as Son counted the bullets in his gun, prosecutors said.

“My emotional scars are intense,” the woman said in a victim impact statement to the court. “My twenties were stripped from my life as I relearned to walk, see, hear and cope with the outside world again.”

Son’s accomplice Santiago Lopez Gaitan, 40, pleaded guilty in January to five felonies, including kidnapping and sodomy and received 17 years behind bars.

O.J.’s Acquittal Suit Gets Rejected

oj_suit_rejected

First of all, it takes some big hairy man-balls to be gutsy enough to donate the suit you wore when you were acquitted of your former wife’s murder. It’s surprising that O.J. didn’t have the snappy “if it does not fit, you must acquit” catchphrase embroidered onto the back. Some may venture to say that O.J. didn’t really give a toss that Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman are dead. But that’s just wild speculation based on their bloody murders and the series of court cases following said murders.

The Smithsonian Institution rejected the attempted donation – and that’s saying something. The Smithsonian will take a 100 year-old piece of dirt if they think it has historical significance. But the institution won’t accept memorabilia from one of the most televised and watched court cases of the past 20 years? It must not mean much to the Smithsonian that a brutha chopped up his wife and homey, only to get away with it. Not like that ever happens anywhere.

According to the New York Times, the decision to donate the suit was announced Tuesday. It was the day after a judge approved the donation as the solution to a battle over the suit. O.J. Simpson was most likely in a hard battle to keep the suit so he could get it dipped in gold and have “HA HA, I DID IT A**HOLES!” carved across it. That fella is classy.
