This week we take a quick glance at the 69th Annual Daytime Emmy awards in Los Angeles to review the fashion from your favorite soap stars & tv hosting personalities. Which SMALL SCREEN SIREN pulled off their fashion in a clean manner? And which DRAMA QUEEN has to replace their dirty laundry with couture style? Who was HAUTE? And who was NOT?
FASHION DAYS. Days of Our Lives actress, Nadia Bjorlin is a Grecian goddess in a floor length black gown w/ gold neckline and draped gold chains on her sinfully sexy back. She wore her hair upswept away from her gorgeous face and her skin beams with a glamorous glow.
TANGERINE TY-RA. The always incredibly beautiful Tyra Banks was a model of pure style in an asymmetrical tangerine dress. Strutting the red carpet in another big trend for fall ‘09 in her nude heels & clutch. A big bold bracelet pulled the outfit together. This girl knows her FASHION!
RAY, A DROP OF GOLDEN SUN. Best Daytime Talk Show host, Rachael Ray radiates in a plum cocktail dress with a tri-metal encrusted built-in necklace that is perfectly elegant for this hostess with the most-est. Copper heels helped the ‘30-minute diva’ take home the gold this year! We think this girl is the Queen of E-V-O-O! (Excellent, Vibrant, Outgoing, Original)
LA LA LARA. Not sure if Lara Spencer realized this was an award show, not an audition for the next installment of Pirates of the Carribbean or that it was to celebrate the Daytime Emmy’s Costume Department. Her off-the-shoulder white/black dress with a bold red belt screams LESS OF A LOOK. (Sorry Lara, no one is going to want to see Lara’s Look for Less for this outfit)
NOT SO PURR-FECT. Young & the Restless soap star, Stacy Haiduk decided to hire Bjork & Bai Ling’s stylist for the 69th Annual Daytime Emmys. She wore a black dress with sheer sleeves and opted for a furry cat purse. Not sure that anyone really wears this accessory without WANTING to be on the WORST DRESSED list. Ok, drama queen, you made a statement, not impressed!
DAY-ZED & CONFUSED. Rachel Melvin from Days of Our Lives needs a little fashion help. Wrapping yourself in black tulle and putting a big flower on yourself doesn’t count as a fashion present. Not sure if you should be shopping through Avril Lavigne’s closet. You get a free pass, impress us next year!
