Paula Abdul Returning to Television?

Do you find yourself watching prime time television and feeling empty? Like something, or someone is missing? It’s probably because Paula Abdul is no longer drooling on the set of some reality show. The TV is getting lonely without Paula on it, but could that be changing soon?

Sources say that Paula is planning on returning to television with a show centered around her. She was spotted having lunch with former ’Today’ show producer Marc Victor. Marc confirmed that he was indeed talking to Paula about a new show, but he also made it clear that it’s still very early in the process. The NBC producer has been talking to a lot of celebrities about possible new shows, but Paula is high on his list.

A friend of Paula talked to The Huffington Post about the rumors,

“Paula would love to get back on TV again. She knows the value of TV. Long before Jennifer Lopez or Mariah (Carey) or Britney (Spears), Paula knew the future would be being in people’s living rooms once or twice a week. She is hoping this turns into something solid very soon and can’t wait to get to return to television.”

Well, I hate to admit it…but I am little excited. I’ve never really understand anything Paula says, but there is something about her that makes me love her. Not like “in love” with her; it’s similar to the love you feel for a lost puppy. You want to help the puppy and save it from cars that are speeding down the street.

We’ll always be here for you Paula. Paula Abdul Paula Abdul1

Britney Spears is scared of Simon Cowell!

As you all know Britney Spears is about to sign a huge contract to join, ‘The X Factor’. Some reports say that it will be a $15 million contract and some say $16, but does it really matter? It’s a lot of money either way. But Britney doesn’t just demand a lot of money; she is also demanding that Simon not make fun of her on the show.

She is wanting a “no bullying” clause in her contract, “Britney has huge respect for Simon as a producer but at the same time she can’t help but be a little bit scared of him” a source said. Apparently Britney already has her role on the show planned out. It sounds like she wants to be a Paula Abdul type, minus the weird relationship with Simon,

“She’s excited about being part of the show but also mindful of the kind of role she is going to play on the X Factor judging panel. Britney doesn’t want to be the one trading verbal blows with Simon. She knows she would come off worse. She wants to be projected in right way. Britney wants to be the one nurturing talent. She’ll leave the nasty stuff to Simon.”

Well, damn. It looks like Simon has another diva on his hands. We are sure Simon will do everything he can to make Britney Spears feel at home; he needs her more than anything. Simon Cowell Finds Crazed Intruder In His House!

Simon Cowell had a very frightening experience Saturday night in his West London home. A woman by the name of Leanne Zaloumis broke into his home Saturday night while Simon Cowell was watching TV in his living room. The woman is believed to have wandered around his home, even lying on his bed! She broke into the home through a downstairs window.

The woman finally managed to find her way into his bathroom and that is when Simon Cowell heard a “loud bang” coming from upstairs. So, he rushed up to the bathroom and found Zaloumis holding a brick in her hand. Luckily, Cowell’s security team was able to detain the woman until cops arrived. She has been charged with aggravated burglary after appearing in court on Monday. She is due back in court on June 12.

“It was an absolutely terrifying experience. Seeing this woman standing there in my house was like something out of a horror movie. It was frightening but I’m going to take it as a warning. In some ways I’ve been lucky. You have to look on the positive side because it could have been a whole lot worse. I now know that I need to improve my security. She could have had a gun.” Simon Cowell told a friend.

Simon is right. It could have been worse; it could have been Paula Abdul instead! That would have truly been terrifying. Simon Cowell Finds Crazed Intruder In His House! Hollywood, Then and Now

I can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since my senior year in High School.  I knew back then that when we gathered for the reunion,  we would probably need a few name tags to identify one another.  Generally we’ve all changed to a certain degree,  but at the 20 year mark,  we’ve all changed to the point where it would deem necessary the use of name tags.  I walked into a grocery store the other day and saw a Facebook friend of mine that I had not seen since high school and didn’t recognize him.  I wonder how many other people I’ve seen out and about and didn’t make the connection.  I know some of us have lost our hair, gained some weight, grew some facial hair (and that’s just the women) even came across a few, “HOLY Sh*t!  WTF happened to you?”  moments.  All in all in the end,  it’s always good to see an old friend.

Even though we didn’t have any celebrities from our class,  I wonder even if we did, would I even recognize them?  I’m glad that I treated people kindly, the same way that I do now, cause you never know when you will run into a ‘blast from the past’.  Imagine if you were the guy in H.S that dated Octo-mom with thoughts of one day raising a family.  Imagine if you were someone that laughed at Bill Gates for being a nerd way back when.  Imagine if you made fun of Angelina Jolie for having big lips.  I find joy in knowing that a few of the ‘unpopular’ kids are now so rich they could buy the venue our reunion will be held in.  I smile from ear to ear when I hear stories of ‘fat’ girls becoming ‘sexy’ movie actresses,  hanging on a poster in your sons bedroom as he tells you to ‘knock’ before you come in.  Gotta love karma.

The X Factor Cleans House! Who Do You Think Should Move In?

After a mediocre first season The X Factor has been cleaning house. Host Steve Jones was fired, Nicole Scherzinger was fired and now Paula Abdul has been fired. So, basically everyone has been fired except Simon and for some reason I don’t see Simon firing himself. I think he is safe.

Sources have told TMZ that Paula got the news from a lawyer connected with the show. That has to hurt, yeah? After Simon personally brought her on the show, he didn’t even have the guts to fire her. Sources also say that Simon has not found any replacements, yet.

Why leave it all up to Simon? He didn’t seem to pick a good first group, should we really trust him to pick another one? Why don’t we throw some suggestions his way? I am going to list a few candidates below and you all should do the same.

Host: Bob Barker. He’s not doing anything anymore and he was great on The Price Is Right. Plus if it doesn’t work out this season, they won’t have to worry about firing him! Old age will take care of that for them.

Judge #1: Herman Cain. Come on, do I even need to explain this? It’s a proven fact that sprinkling a little bit of Herman Cain on your show will increase awesomeness by 15%…plus his 999 plan can easily be adapted for judging.

Judge #2: Andy Dick. This is a selfish pick. I just think TV would be better if Andy Dick was on it more. He is an America hero and he deserves to be treated like one!

Paula Abdul announced as fourth X-Factor judge

It’s finally set it stone! The contracts have been signed and the auditions have begun. Paula Abdul will join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Cheryl Cole on the judge’s panel for the US version of Cowell’s ‘X-Factor’. I know what you’re thinking. Really? Another reality singing competition. We have ‘American Idol’. We have ‘The Voice’. We have (or maybe had, I’m not sure) ‘Nashville Star’. Do we really need another one? Probably not, but we have one and I’ll be watching. I love Simon and I love Paula. Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are doing a great job on Idol, but Simon and Paula have such great chemistry. Here at the ‘X-Factor’ auditions, Paula looks lovely. I’ve always been a big fan and I’m excited to see her on television again.

Be Prepared for an Even Bigger Idol Freakshow

It’s not just the contestants that look strangely like Lady Gaga who are obviously completely out of their minds that you’ll have to worry about this year. Apparently, the judges may be just as big of a train wreck.

Sources that are connected with American Idol have been reporting that executives on the show recklessly rolled the dice by choosing Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler as the new judges. Why? Because it IS just as f*cking random as it seems.

Producers have never put Lopez, Tyler and Randy Jackson in the same room to see if they have the right chemistry. As one source put it, “It’s ridiculous not to road test these people before committing … it’s insane.”

We’re told before choosing Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, Exec Producer Nigel Lythgoe organized dinners with the three prospective judges, to see how they meshed. We’re told Nigel even had Simon and Randy go to a few strip clubs together for the, uh, manly bonding.

There is still time for the new judges to get acquainted with each other, but let’s hope for the worst case scenario – total f*cking chaos. American Idol is only good when it’s going down in flames, anyway.

Jennifer Lopez’s Ass Now On American Idol

We may be losing a dykey comedian, but we’re gaining a ghetto booty. According to AP, former “Fly Girl” Jennifer Lopez is poised to return to television — this time as a judge on “American Idol.”

The singer-dancer-actor was close to signing a deal to join Fox TV’s hit singing contest, a person familiar with the negotiations said late Thursday. The person, who was not authorized to comment publicly, spoke on condition of anonymity.

Fox declined comment. Phone and e-mail messages for Lopez’s representatives were not immediately returned.

The “American Idol” opening for Lopez comes with comedian-talk show host Ellen DeGeneres’ departure from the show.

Degeneres announced Thursday she was leaving after one year as judge.

“A couple months ago, I let Fox and the `American Idol’ producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” DeGeneres said in a statement. The comedian-talk show host said she realized that while she “loved discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.”

In May, Simon Cowell exited after nine seasons to start a new talent show for Fox.

Those under consideration for his spot, according to reports, are a varied group that includes Steven Tyler and Harry Connick Jr.

Lopez’ films include “Selena,” “The Wedding Planner” and most recently “The Back-Up Plan.” She has appeared as a mentor on “American Idol.”

Two new judges could help “American Idol” reinvent itself for its January return, when it will try to stem a ratings slide and bring in younger viewers. The show’s audience has been gradually aging, and advertisers prefer to pitch to young adults.

Judge Kara DioGuardi, who was added to the panel two years ago, is not under contract for next year and Fox has not announced whether she’ll return. Original judge Randy Jackson is the fourth panel member.

With audition episodes featuring the judges set to begin filming in September, the pressure is on to announce the panel. On Monday, Fox will have a chance to do that when it presents its 2010-11 programs to a meeting of the Television Critics Association.

When DeGeneres joined the show as a replacement for Paula Abdul, proclaiming herself a fan of “American Idol” and a pop aficionado, observers noted she didn’t bring music industry expertise to her role. Some complained she proved more of a cheerleader than an incisive critic in the mold of Cowell.

She had a reported five-year contract.

Ellen DeGeneres Calls it Quits

Ellen DeGeneres only served as a judge for American Idol one season and… she is finally out. Ellen DeGeneres is leaving American Idol, Fox confirmed in a statement Thursday night.

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me,” DeGeneres says in the statement.

“I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.”

DeGeneres replaced Paula Abdul as judge for the show’s ninth season, sitting at the table with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi.

“It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for,” the star continues.

“I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

“I loved Ellen’s passion for the artists and her nurturing skills,” Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller says in the statement. “She brought honesty and optimism to our judging panel and I will miss her greatly.”

Among the many names mentioned as possible Cowell replacements for the show: Bret Michaels, Elton John, Jessica Simpson, Howard Stern and others.

Hollywood stars banned from Twitter

Tila Tequila, Aubrey O’Day and Lindsay Lohan can continue their boob flashing and psychobabbling via Twitter for as long as they want because this bit of news involves actors hired to play in an actual movie.

Studios want to stop actors from leaking film information on social network sites, and are inserting clauses in their contracts forbidding them.

Stars affected include Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers, who are due to make a Shrek follow-up next year for studio DreamWorks.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a recent talent contract from Disney includes a new clause forbidding confidentiality breaches via “interactive media such as Facebook, Twitter, or any other interactive social network or personal blog.”

And at DreamWorks, a contract cautions writers not to jump the gun on studio press releases via “a social networking site, blog or other Internet-type site.”

“This is just the beginning,” a talent lawyer told the newspaper. “Hollywood has a long history of controlling what talent says in the media. This is just a new area of media that hasn’t been controlled yet.”

The move comes after American Idol judge Paula Abdul dramatically resigned this year on Twitter. Her announcement was followed by an official reaction from Fox News wishing her well.

Ryan Seacrest, the American Idol presenter, was criticised after he broke the news of NBC’s former co-chairman Ben Silverman’s resignation from the company on his Twitter feed.

Heroes actor Greg Grunberg also caused controversy when he posted a tweet during filming for the last episode of season three.

“Tough to say goodbye to crew not knowing if any or all of us will return next year,” he wrote. After being inundated with messages from fans who thought it meant the show would not be coming back Grunberg had to post a new tweet to clarify that the show “IS coming back [for a fourth season] but some crew take other jobs, so it’s tough.”

Cool Celeb of the Week: Ellen DeGeneres

ellen idol
It was a week full of exciting news and pleasant announcements. Whitney Houston released her new single and Nicole Richie welcomed her second child. If this was not enough, Tila Tequila kept us engaged with her feud with NFL star Shawne Merriman and Hugh Hefner surprised us with his divorce announcement. However, one name that outshone the rest to grab the top spot - and this week’s Cool Celeb of the Week crown - is Ellen DeGeneres. The outspoken talk show host is all set to rule our hearts as the new fourth judge on American Idol. And the best part is, Paula Abdul is NOT at war with Ellen!

Paula Abdul is OK

The news of Ellen DeGeneres’ appointment as the fourth judge on American Idol was accepted by each and everyone with open heart. But the cherry on the cake comes now, in the form of a statement issued by Paula Abdul. Apparently, Paula is OK with Ellen’s decision to join American Idol as her replacement.

TMZ quotes Paula as saying,

AMERICAN IDOL is a fantastic show that offers an invaluable platform to young talent. Ellen DeGeneres is wildly funny and talented in her own right. I wish her and the show only the best of luck.

Ellen DeGeneres is the new judge on

ellen idol
I’m not at all a fan of American Idol, but here’s a bit of news that might just do the job and persuade me to follow the show starting this January as the show moves into its ninth season. Ellen DeGeneres is taking Paula Abdul’s place as the fourth judge on American Idol!

According to Fox News, Ellen will join Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi for the ninth season starting in January. Ellen’s excitement is clearly visible in the following statement,

I’m thrilled to be the new judge on ‘American Idol’. I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’ve always been a huge fan. So getting this job is a dream come true, and think of all the money I’ll save from not having to text in my vote.

Victoria Beckham and her old lady face are guest judges on American Idol

What the heck is Victoria Beckham doing in Boston?  The only American cities we usually see the posh, former-pop star are New York and Los Angeles.  Yet, here she is dolled up in a red dress and weird lace headband in Beantown.

Turns out the ex-Spice Girl was there as a guest judge during the Boston American Idol auditions.  Vikki is subbing in the spot where Paula Abdul usually sits, blathering incoherently to contestants.  We’re sure the ‘Wannabe’ singer thrilled all the wannabe singers at the audition with such constructive criticism as: ‘You’ll sing better if you eat less’ and ‘You sound as bad as Baby Spice.’

This is the second time Beckham has sat in on auditions, as she was on hand last week when Idol was in Denver.  So is Victoria going to become a permanent fixture on America’s number 1 show?  Oh lord, we hope not!  We can’t stare at that crypt keeper face for a whole season!

Paula Abdul might

Not that she still needs to prove her dancing abilities to anyone, but the former American Idol judge might soon find herself showing her talent and calling the shots on Dancing with the Stars. ABC is keen to hire Paula Abdul as a judge, and a “delicious” offer might just do the trick and persuade her to be a part of the hit show.

THP reports,

ABC programming chief Stephen McPherson told the Television Critics Association on Saturday that he was “stunned” to hear she’d decided to leave the top-rated Fox series and that he’s contacted Abdul, whom he called an old friend.

McPherson told Abdul he’d love to see her at ABC, home of “Dancing with the Stars.”

The Crazy Has Left American Idol

Shame on you American Idol! How could you not bring back the crazy this season?!

Paula Abdul, via Twitter, announced last night that she was not renewing her contract with Idol. Twitter instantly lit up with people vowing to stop watching if they don't bring back everyone's favourite TV drunk. Do they actually think we tune in, week after week, to listen to horrible singers sing horrible songs? NO! We tune it to see what kind of crazy-talk Paula will bring. How can we go on without more moments like these ?

Speculation about Abdul’s future with the show grew rampant after manager David Sonenberg told the Los Angeles Times in July that FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment, the production companies behind Idol, had not given her a new contract three weeks before the ninth season was to start filming — and just days after Idol host Ryan Seacrest reportedly signed a three-year deal for 45 million.

“She’s worked really hard for them and it’s time for them to reciprocate,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “They need to come through or she’ll walk.”

The warning signs may have been there: Sonenberg spoke out against producers, calling them “rude and disrespectful” to Abdul for not having “stepped up,” but the judge not only felt under appreciated, she also believed she was underpaid.

“When everyone else [was] getting such big raises she was hurt,” a source close to the former Idol judge tells PEOPLE. “She did want to go back to the show, of course. She’s upset they didn’t give her what she deserved.”

According to a source close to the show, “FOX offered Abdul a raise, but it was much less than what she was asking for.” She asked for about $20 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and rejected a 30 percent raise — an eight-figure, multi-year deal.

Abdul’s announcement on her Twitter page — less than a week after FOX announced Kara DioGuardi was returning to the judges' table — blindsided producers and “took everyone by surprise,” adds the show source. But leaving Idol isn’t a complete loss for her professional career — there’s a chance she could move to another network.

“Paula is an exceptional piece of talent,” Paul Telegdy, NBC’s alternative programming executive, told reporters Wednesday at the Television Critics’ Association panel in Pasadena, Calif. “We have no specific plans for her but I read the breaking news [of her departure from Idol] and I wouldn’t rule anything out.”

Between you and I..... I actually think Paula will be back this season. I think this is her trying to get her contract signed. Show the producers that the fans want her and that AI needs her.

Never have I dedicated more photos to a single story.
That Paula. She just gives and gives.

Paula Abdul says goodbye to

Paula Abdul and American Idol are no more an item. The ninth season of American Idol is scheduled to hit the TV in January, but without Paula Abdul on the judge’s table. Paula, 47, has ended the speculation about her future association with the hit TV show and confirmed yesterday that she will not return to Idol.

Paula confirmed her departure from American Idol with a series of messages on her Twitter page.

With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day one become an international phenomenon. What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me. I do, without any doubt, have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.

Designer Lloyd Klein Accused of Naked Assault

Fashion guru Lloyd Klein has dressed Paula Abdul, Kate Beckinsale, and Gwen Stefani — but a new lawsuit claims Klein wore only his birthday suit when he allegedly beat down a guy. In the lawsuit, a friend of Klein’s (formerly, we’re guessing) named David Pearce says he was attacked when he went to pickup his keys from Klein’s Los Angeles home - TMZ reports.

Pearce claims Klein was “completely naked and appeared intoxicated” and refused to return the keys. The suit alleges that a fight broke out and Klein threw a vase at Pearce, and shoved Pearce down a staircase. Klein allegedly went all “Clue” too — hitting Pearce with an iron candlestick, according to the papers.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in L.A. Superior Court, says Pearce suffered hand fractures, and required surgery. He’s seeking damages for assault, battery, and emotional distress.

200lb woman tries to choke Simon Cowell’s ex to get back at him for choking Paula Abdul

Yes, the woman (Janice Thibodeaux) might be a crazy, over-fed gorilla with a passion for chocolate-chip cookies and a need to protect the little people, like Paula Abdul, but she does make a good point: Simon Cowell doesn’t have good manners and someone should teach him a few. Too bad her idea of doing so was to go for his ex-girlfriend’s carotid artery.

To explain, Terri Seymour, who’s a correspondent for Extra, had just finished reporting on American Idol’s final performance show when was attacked by an overweight woman.
‘The next thing I know this woman has me in a headlock and was trying to choke me,’ Terry said of her ordeal.
‘She said, “You’re that girl on TV right?” That was it.’

The drama ended when the woman eventually released her grip on Seymour and tried to run away. ‘The police were fantastic,’ Seymour said  ‘They were close by and managed to catch her.’

According to a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, officers on hand for crowd control witnessed the incident, which took place around 7pm.

As Seymour was leaving the venue, she was approached by 33-year-old Janice Thibodeaux, who asked if Seymour was Cowell’s ex-girlfriend. After Seymour answered yes, police say Thibodeaux attacked her, grabbing her neck and attempting to choke her.

Thibodeaux, who is being held on $52,703 bail, had this to say about her attacking Terry: ‘I wasn’t cool with Simon Cowell choking Paula Abdul on the show last week and with her crying-out “help” as he did so,’ she said.
‘Nobody said anything about that so I wanted to confront him about it because that is not appropriate behavior, is it?’

Despite their split last year, Terri and Simon remain close and regularly participate in TV interviews and promotional activities together.Speaking last year, Simon admitted they spoke on the phone every day: ‘I do call Terri, first, when I’ve got an issue or I’m moaning about something, or I want to bounce an idea off.’

Simon has vowed not to date anyone for several years ‘out of respect’ for Terri and after the incident he has ordered his bodyguards to protect her instead of him until she recovers from the shock.

So the big question is: Will Simon start kissing Paula’s ass next season…because we’re sure she has a lot more crazy as a bat fans up her kimono sleeves…kinda like the secret knives of a tiny ninja…
