According to The Sun, Simon Cowell celebrated his 50th bithday by throwing a $1.6million celebrity-studded bash at an 18th century mansion in London…a party that lasted until 5am and turned x-rated and raunchy…and ofcourse The Hoff was there to get poisoned by antibiotics (aka got shitfaced).
According to the newspaper, around 400 guests quaffed $800 bottles of Cristal champagne at one of the most bizarre birthday bashes ever.
Visitors to 18th century mansion Wrotham Park, Herts, were greeted with a giant image of Cowell beamed on to the walls, arranged by his pal, retail billionaire Sir Philip Green. The tycoon was in the drive to welcome Simon’s chauffeur-driven limo on Saturday night.
Simon’s images where everywhere, on the walls and ceilings – and even in the toilets, where baby sharks swam in tanks.
Guests, who included Cowell’s X Factor friend Cheryl Cole, Sharon Osbourne, Chef Cordon Ramseay and Dannii Minogue, were even reminded of him as they ate – as “Simon” was spelt out in the soup.
And the food was served by waiters wearing Simon Cowell masks.
Staff had to help David Hasselhoff out a back entrance after two hours when he got too drunk. A source said: “He kept swearing. He couldn’t walk.”
One unhappy guest was Jordan, as lover Alex Reid cavorted on stage with lingerie-clad dancers. She was fuming as they dragged cage fighter Alex on-stage. A source of the newspaper said: “They ripped his shirt off and covered him in oil. The girls were gyrating over him. Alex looked like he was loving it but Katie was seriously unimpressed.”
Jordan spent most of the night at the bar getting drunk on the free booze. One guest said: “She stood by the bar from the minute she got there until she left, guzzling the free drinks. She was steamboats.”
Bizarrely, a giant inflatable of a female’s private parts appeared to grace the stage at one point.
Gifts for Cowell, whose birthday isn’t until this Wednesday, included a pair of Sinatra’s shoes and one of his old hats, sent by the Sinatra family. PR guru Max Clifford gave an $130,000 sculpture of Sinatra in the eye of a Needle- with a microscope to see it. Simon’s brother Nicholas gave him a $40,000 white gold watch – and some guests warmed to the night’s theme by buying Cowell Mirrors.
