Sheryl Crow And Wyatt Soak Up The Sun

Sheryl Crow and son Wyatt, 3, were seen as the tot was being picked up at his grandmother's house on Monday (September 20.) They aren't really soaking up the sun as my title suggests – that's just the name of one of Sheryl's songs. Thought it was more appropriate than Leaving Las Vegas.

Sheryl's on tour now, and Wyatt and younger brother Levi, 11-months, are along with mom for the ride. The singer says it's easy to tour with her young sons, and they have plenty to keep them busy.

“Until they're in a structured school situation, it's easy to travel," she says. "The bus is completely tricked out for kids. I go to work at 9 at night, so I put them down and go to work. During the day, we visit zoos and museums and parks, and they're surrounded by an extremely loving family.”

Sheryl Crow: "I’m The Queen Of Multitasking"

As if being a single mom to her boys Wyatt, 3, and Levi, 2 months, isn't enough to keep her busy, singer Sheryl Crow also has a new album in stores and a North American tour underway. The 48-year-old musical mama recently talked to Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail about how she manages it all.

On juggling her career and kids: "I’m like the queen of multitasking at all times. [Levi’s] the perfect age to take out on the road because basically he eats, sleeps and poops, and Wyatt is a fantastic big brother. So it’s all hands on deck while we’re [touring]."

On how motherhood has changed her music: "It changes your life and then your life informs your art so I can safely say that my point of view has changed. I have a sense of urgency about writing thoughtful material that’s based in truth and that has some meaningful merit to it. Wyatt was three months old when I made [Detours] and we’d just gone to war and the [Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change] reports were coming out about how sick our planet was becoming and also George Bush was in office. It had a huge impact on how I felt about raising a child in that climate and what I wanted to write about."

Sheryl Crow & Her Sons Take To The Skies

Rockstar mama Sheryl Crow was all smiles heading into JFK airport with her two sons - Wyatt, 3, and Levi, 2 months - in New York City on Friday (July 23).

The 48-year-old mother of two carried her youngest son in a car seat, while a friend carried Wyatt.

Sheryl recently opened up about the difficulties she faced while waiting to adopt Levi.

An adoptive mother goes through more hoops than those people who thoughtlessly become pregnant. I had about 10 adoptions fall through last year, so there was a real sense of relief when [Levi] was mine. It's a long process and it's fraught with uncertainty. Another person is carrying a baby and when that baby finally arrives their feelings may have changed."

Sheryl Crow: I Did Not Adopt To Boost My Career

Single mom Sheryl Crow is speaking out against accusations that she only adopted her two sons – Wyatt, 3, and Levi, 2-months – in order to boost her music career.

According to ContactMusic, some online critics claim the 48-year-old singer used the adoptions for publicity purposes and to promote her new albums.

Sheryl, who brought baby Levi home just last month, tells Britain’s You magazine, “I don't usually read what people blog about me but I've read some beautiful things about me and adoption and some hateful things.”

“I think people don't understand,” she continues. “It's not like you can go to some outlet and pick up a baby because you've got a record to promote.”

The All I Wanna Do songstress opened up to Redbook shortly after welcoming her second son: “I was hoping to adopt a child when Wyatt was 2... but things always work out perfectly. They just do. Generally, when you let go of your vision of how something is supposed to be, the universe hands you exactly what you need.”

Sheryl Crow: "I Always Knew I Wanted To Be A Mom"

She's got a new album, she's touring the country, and she's now the mother of two little boys. Sheryl Crow graces the August cover of REDBOOK and opens up about her battle with breast cancer, her celeb mommy friends and the recent adoption of her second son, Levi James.

On adopting Levi: "It's been in the works for a while. I was hoping to adopt a child when Wyatt was 2; a lot of the adoptions fell through. But things always work out perfectly. They just do. Generally, when you let go of your vision of how something is supposed to be, the universe hands you exactly what you need."

On being mom to Wyatt, 3, and Levi, 2 months: "I always knew I wanted to be a mom; it was just a matter of when. I'd just been through a pretty painful breakup where there were kids involved, and I'd also been through breast cancer treatment. After that, I felt an acute sense of urgency about how I wanted my life to feel. Since I wasn't married, my idea of what the picture was supposed to look like no longer served any great purpose. So I started doing an adoption 'home study,' which means you fill out the paperwork, get certified in infant CPR. The idea was, if the opportunity came, I would be ready."

Sheryl Crowe: Wyatt Is Like A Labrador, He Needs To Run Around

Sheryl Crow was thrust into the spotlight 17-years-ago when her hit song All I Wanna Do hit the airwaves. Since this time the rockin' mama has been through public relationships with the likes of Lance Armstrong and Owen Wilson, has survived a battle with breast cancer, and is now a happy mom of two young boys.

Crow, who recently adopted her second son, Levi James, invited Elle Magazine into the New York City loft which she once called full-time home, and opened up about her passions and her new life with two sons. Of becoming a mother to son Wyatt, now 3, Crow said,

He changed my life completely. I’ve really put roots down with him. His happiness is my priority.”

The singer, who enjoyed a playdate with fellow celebrity/good friend Mariska Hargitay during the interview, than touched on moving her home-base to a Nashville farm, saying of Wyatt, “Look at him, he’s like a Labrador— he needs to be outside, running around."

Sheryl Crow Says Second Adoption Kept “Falling Apart”

Sheryl Crow, who recently adopted her second son Levi, says being a single mother of two isn't that hectic, thanks to her 3-year-old son, Wyatt.

"He gives baths, he helps burp him, changes his diaper," Crow tells Us. "It’s really cute."

Crow says Wyatt was aware early on that she wanted to adopt a second baby. The 48-year-old songstress says it wasn't an easy process.

We’ve been going through this for a year -- Getting ready for a baby; it falling apart; getting ready for a baby; the mom changing her mind. So [now] we were excited but conservatively excited."

Before hitting the red carpet at last night's CMT Music Awards in Nashville, Crow was in full-on mommy mode. "I was in sweats bottle feeding one, reading to the other," Crow says. "You make it happen."

Sheryl Crow Teaches Her Son To Be Eco-Friendly

Musical mom Sheryl Crow was busy last week promoting World Water Day, performing at a special concert in New York City and speaking to CBS News about the importance of water conservation and eco-friendly living.

Explaining that she learned about environmental stewardship at a very young age, the All I Wanna Do singer reveals that it's a lesson that seems even more important now that she's a mom.

“I was raised with this idea that you leave the campground better than how you found it. We were brought up to shut off the water when we were brushing our teeth, only ran the dishwasher when it was stuffed, never took 45-minute showers," says Sheryl, who is mom to 2-year-old son Wyatt. "I have a little boy now, so my concern is what kind of planet are we leaving."

The proud mama adds that little Wyatt is already doing his part to help the planet: "My little boy is worried about flushing the toilet - we're already starting, at 2-and-a-half. He already knows not to flush the toilet unless, you know, you have to."
