Singer Melissa Etheridge and estranged partner Tammy Lynn Michaels headed to court on Monday to hammer out a plan for alimony.
Michaels has recently claimed that she is not receiving any funds from Etheridge, however, an attorney for Etheridge, Neal Hersh, says that the Come To My Window singer is providing her ex with $2,000 a month for "household bills including utilities and a car lease." Hersh told People,
[Tammy] is being completely supported by Melissa and has been since they separated. She’s being well-provided for and then some, as are the children, which are Melissa’s first priority."
While Michaels attorney, Steven Knowles acknowledged that "Melissa is paying various sundry expenses," he added that she is "desitute," and said, "It doesn’t put money in her wallet. Literally she has no cash."
The two announced their split in April, after splitting late last year. Michaels, who carried the couples' twins Johnnie and Miller and is attempting to be granted full custody, had been using her blog as an outlet to open up about her side of the split. She has since deleted all of her entries up until late May.
