Rest assured, the authorities say that the Gosselin children aren't being exploited.

In spite of cries to the contrary, labor officials have determined that the 6-year-old sextuplets of Jon and Kate Gosselin aren't being exploited and the filming of TLC's Kate Plus 8 can continue. According to Us, Pennsylvania's Department of Labor and Industry released a statement on Tuesday (July 20) saying that the work permits of the Gosselin children are legal and valid. State Rep. Thomas Murt had argued that state law allows kids under the age of 7 to work in movies - but not on TV.

According to an official statement, Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah are not being "unlawfully exploited" as they film with mom Kate and older twin sisters Cara and Mady, 9, in and around their Wernersville, Penn. home. The statement goes on to say that the work permits ensure the kids are protected from working too many hours and receive earnings from the show.

Reports state that Rep. Murt still insists that the permits are illegal and is urging officials to take the case to Pennsylvania's attorney general.

In news that will be a relief to some, US reports that Rep. Thomas Murt of Pennsylvania is questioning the legality of shows like Kate Gosselin's Kate Plus 8, which includes six children under the age of 7.

Rep. Murt argues that state law only allows child actors to be shot for films. Pennsylvania authorities insist that TLC, who airs Kate Plus 8 and its previous incarnation, Jon and Kate Plus 8, did not get the proper permission to film the children.

A recent article posted in the Los Angeles Times brings up the issues that reality television children face, who unprotected by state labor laws like paid child actors, since they are not technically considered to be "working" while filming shows.

Kate may not even need her sextuplets as co-stars, recent rumors say that the newly single mother of eight may be getting her own dating show.

During a recent appearance on the Today Show, Kate Gosselin stated that she was in no hurry to start dating. The reality TV diva, who recently appeared on Dancing with the Stars, said that she is very happy being single.

In fact, her advice to her daughters - Cara and Mady, 9, and Alexis, Hannah and Leah, 6 - is to wait until they are "30 and beyond" before they take the plunge! The mother-of-multiples married young and now feels that you should be "really, really, really sure" about marriage and question any need for rushing into it at a young age.

She is, however, open to having discussions with her eight children - including her 6-year-old boys Aaden, Collin and Joel - about whether she is likely to date, or eventually remarry, as they are often wondering when mommy is going to get a new boyfriend.

Kate stresses that now is not the right time for a new beau and she feels "my kids need so much of me that I need to be with them". She does not feel ready to "personally move forward" at at this time.

Kate and her kids recently returned to TLC in the new series Kate Plus 8, which raked in 3.4 million viewers. The episode centered on the sextuplets' sixth birthday. After the episode, Kate's own show, Twist of Kate, kept 3 million viewers interested.

Despite making it through the first four weeks of Dancing With The Stars, controversial mom Kate Gosselin and partner Tony Dolovani were voted off the show last night (April 21), reports Us Weekly. Gosselin, who definitely had a few serious supporters, spoke with Entertainment Tonight about her suspicion that this week would be her last, "I had a gut feeling and there was nothing making that gut feeling go away. Everyone deserves to move on, and I had a good run and am really thankful for the opportunity."

Gosselin's biggest supports, her eight children with ex Jon Gosselin may not take the news as well. Kate says the kids "will be upset, definitely. They will be shattered, in fact." She also revealed that she will not allow them to watch the elimination episode, saying, "They'll be OK. They'll be glad to have me back. Every day I hear from women across the country who have incredible stories but are overwhelmed with their lives, asking me for advice on everything from potty training to organization. None have asked for dancing advice, however. Just thought I'd add that. So on my new show Twist of Kate, I'm going to spend a few days in their lives experiencing their challenges firsthand and lending a helping hand and maybe even some time off.

The shows co-stars, Jon & Kate's eight children, who the Dancing With The Stars mom once said were "sobbing" when their first show ended, are looking forward to "taking some fun trips and having some great adventures. They're very excited," says Kate.

Twist of Kate will begin airing this summer and will address fan mail from those inspired by her success story. "I look at it as a loose concept," Kate says. "I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don't consider myself an expert on anything."

The 35-year-old mother of eight adds that she feels the love from her fans. "The fact that people really support me and want the kids and I to do well ... is flattering. I never understood the importance of fans until we struggled and went through tough times."

Will you tune into Kate's new shows?

According to RadarOnline.com, dad-of-eight Jon Gosselin, says he is willing to let TLC film his children again, but only if the network drops the lawsuit against him.

However, this would not mean the return of Jon & Kate Plus 8. One source says that the network would never let Jon come back: “You can be sure that if the kids come back to TLC it will be only with Kate, not with Jon,” says the source. “And there’s no guarantee that will happen either.”

Jon, who is facing trial for breach of contract, is currently being restricted from cashing in on his reality TV fame and is no longer on TLC payroll.

His attorney, Mark Heller, tells RadarOnline.com: “You haven’t seen the last of Jon Gosselin.”

Jon’s trial is scheduled to begin this Spring.

The show - tentatively scheduled to debut in the next few months - will not feature ex-husband Jon or any of their eight children. "She's proven herself to be a celebrity in her own right," an executive at Discovery, which owns TLC, said, "and, with the interest she generates, she can fit into any role on her own."

Furthermore, Jon was recently ordered to stop making media appearances due to a breach of contract with TLC network.

So this is either a new hobby since he has loads of free time or the shrieking voice in his head screaming “Come and get your popcorn” is getting harder to shoosh.

In September, TLC announced that as of November 2, Jon Gosselin would no longer appear on Jon & Kate Plus 8 and that the program would be re-titled Kate Plus 8. But the plan took a turn after Jon objected to his kids appearing on TV, claiming that he had an "epiphany" that the show was exploiting his children.

Finally, in a pathetic display, Gosselin demonstrates his naivete, including in his relationship with Lohan, a convicted drunk driver and former addict who has been known to use the media to further his quasi-fame. In the tape, Gosselin states, "I don't even know your past, Michael. I don't even follow that s--t. I don't care."

Perhaps had he read a bit more about Lohan, he wouldn't have been so candid.

Jon’s bodyguard Thomas Meinelt has been subpoenaed to testify in TLC’s lawsuit against Jon, and The ENQUIRER has learned Meinelt claims he saw Jon snort cocaine many times, and that he’s watched Jon’s secret sex tape!
“Tom told me that Jon was secretly videotaped having sex with a woman in Los Angeles in October, and he’s seen the tape!” said Stephanie Santoro, Jon’s former flame and family nanny.
“Tom said people close to Jon put a camera in his hotel room, and paid a girl to flirt with Jon and have sex with him.
“He also told me that he saw Jon snort cocaine on more than one occasion, and that the more Jon got into partying, the more cocaine he used!”

We’re just going to go ahead and assume the “close friends” who trapped him into this sex tape was none other than his BFF Michael Lohan. Awesome thinking Michael! Always have a back-up plan in case your own family’s secret recordings don’t end up being the cash cow you intended them to be.

According to RadarOnline.com, at the same time he was telling a national TV audience that he wanted to put the brakes on his divorce and establish a better relationship with his wife, Jon Gosselin was secretly emptying their bank account.

Jon violated an arbitrator’s rules and pulled hundreds of thousands of dollars out of his joint account with Kate, leaving her with only $1,000, a RadarOnline.com investigation uncovered.

It’s the most dramatic turn yet in what has been a public brawl of a divorce, with Jon hiring a controversial lawyer and trying to repair his public image in the past few weeks.

Heller and said he had an epiphany, adding: “I want Kate and I to mediate. I want us to become friends.”

But within hours of uttering those words, Jon was withdrawing several hundred thousand dollars from his joint bank account with Kate without her knowledge, leaving his estranged wife with only $1,000.

RadarOnline.com has confirmed with multiple sources that Kate routinely pays the family bills from that bank account.

When Kate discovered what happened she engaged a high-powered lawyer who immediately sent Jon a letter, demanding he return the money to the bank account. And RadarOnline.com has learned that another lawyer for Kate will go to court in Pennsylvania on Monday to file papers demanding the money be returned.

Multiple sources tell RadarOnline.com that Jon’s actions were in violation of the Gosselin divorce arbitrator’s guideline.

Another bank account, set up for the Gosselin children, was untouched.

The scandal, which has heightened acrimony in the divorce to record levels, comes right after Jon and Kate had appeared to informally work out a custody schedule.

But now the divorce has taken another combative turn, with money becoming the new battleground.

Kate will appear on NBC’s Today Show early this week in an appearance that was scheduled before the latest divorce bombshell.

Jon recently demanded that TLC stop filming his children — after the network announced it was severely limiting his role on Jon & Kate Plus 8 and changing the show title to Kate Plus 8.

Jon’s lawyer Heller, in words that are sure to be repeated in light of the bank account controversy, told Kate’s lawyer Mark Momjian on Larry King Live, “(Your) focus seems to be money, seems to be the show going on. This man (Jon) doesn’t care about the money.”

Yet money, and Jon’s actions in pulling out virtually all of the money from the joint bank account, is now the biggest scandal in a series of controversies.

On Larry King Live last week Jon said he had made mistakes in the past but was determined to try to make things better. “I’m here to apologize to Kate. I’m here to apologize to a lot of people. I have made mistakes,” he said.

Jon’s lawyer Heller even said Jon wants to be a role model. “Divorcing couples have the power to make healthy and appropriate decisions for themselves when they’re ending the marriage, and to take into most concern and consideration the well-being of their children and family values. And Jon is determined to do that and to become a model for other divorcing families,” Heller said on TV.
